All Grown Up

Good Morning everyone. Today I am playing along with the Friday challenge over at JustRite Inspiration. They have different challenges every Friday. This week the challenge was to make a "Scrappy Page". The best part about this challenge is that you could win a $50 gift certificate to buy some cool JustRite stamps!!! So now you can get scrapbook pages done and get a chance to win free stuff at the same time. How cool would that be!!!!!

My true love with papercrafting is scrapbooking. I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years. I love to take just a regular photo and create "a story" with it on a piece of paper. This page shows my 9 year old daughter "all dressed up". She is growing up soooo fast.

For my page title, I used the Horizontal & Vertical wood stamper (JustRite)along with the 95 point Curlz font (JustRite). The JustRite font ensembles are perfect for scrapbook titles. After I stamped them, I diecut them using the Spellbinders Labels 4.

The above photo shows a closeup of my sentiment which describes how I feel about this photo of Emily. This border & center comes in the "Stitched With Love" set (JustRite).

My paperdoll was made using my Cricut Expression along with the Paper Dolls Dressup cartridge. Since I am not very good at drawing faces, I purchased face stamps from Peachy Keen stamps. It completed the paper doll.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in for a visit. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers - Stitched With Love borders & centers, Curlz Font Ensemble, Horizontal & Vertical wood stamper, 2 3/8" wood stamper, Peachy Keen face stamps

Paper: Bella-Press, Core'dinations Kilt Green, Serene, & Purple Majesty

Ink: Memento Bamboo Leaves, Memento Rich Cocoa, Copic marker V09

Accessories: Spellbinders Labels 4, Spellbinders Pinking Circles Nestabilities, Cricut Expression, Paper Dolls Dressup cartridge, Kaiser rhinestones, Cuttlebug Spots & Dots embossing folder, sanding block, ribbon, buttons

One Wonderful Life

Good Morning everyone. Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge over at CPS. I also needed an anniversary card for my in-laws so I combined both.

My sentiment comes from the "Romantic Sentiments" set from JustRite. I combined the center with the beautiful border from the "Round Decorative Frames Borders" set. To stamp "Happy Anniversary" I loaded my 1 3/16" wood stamper with the 15 point Times Roman font (JustRite). Each is diecut with Spellbinders Circle & Scallop Circle Nestabilities.

That's it for today. I really appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to stop in and check out what I have done. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers - 2" Round Decorative Frames Borders, Romantic Sentiments, Times Roman 15 point font, 2" wood stamper, 1 3/16" wood stamper

Paper: DCWV Citrus Stack, DCWV cardstock

Ink: Memento Bamboo Leaves, Copic Marker YG03

Accessories: Spellbinders Classic Circles & Scallop Circles Nestabilities, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Sweet Petites Lime Grosgrain ribbon

Birthday Lion

Good Morning everyone. Today I have a cute little birthday card. I saw a lion similar to this one made from SU punches one day while I was surfing blogs. I can't remember the site that I saw it on. If anyone happens to know who it is, please let me know so that I can give her credit. I am also playing along with the Technique Challenge from Monday at Splitcoaststampers.

I don't have a lot of SU punches but I do have Spellbinders dies so I adjusted my lion to what I had to work with.

Here are the lion details :

Mane - Spellbinders Classic Scallop Circle, small #3

Body - Spellbinders Standard Circle, Large #3

Face - Spellbinders Standard Petite, Large #2

Feet - Spellbinders Classic Oval, Large #1

tail tip - SU 1 1/4" scallop punch

tail - freehand cutting

Muzzle - SU 1/2" circle punch

Nose - SU 1/4" circle punch

eyes - small circle punch

ears - SU 1/4" circle punch

For my sentiment, I used Times Roman font set (25 pt & 50 pt) from JustRite. I wanted to use the larger font for the letter "R" to emphasize the sound that a lion makes. My border is from the Round Decorative Frame Borders (JustRite).

I think my little lion came out kinda cute. It is always a good idea to have extra birthday cards on hand. It seems that birthdays seem to creep up on me and then I have to scramble to get a card made.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers - Times Roman Font Ensemble, Round Decorative Frame Borders, 2" wood stamper

Paper: DCWV, Worldwin

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa

Accessories: Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities, Scallop Circle Nestabilities, SU circle punches, Martha Stewart Picket Fence border punch, Pebbles Inc chalk

Thank You

Good morning everyone. Today I have a simple Thank You card. It is always a good idea to have these on hand. Even though it is a simple card, it still shows the recipient that you took the extra step to make a personal card.

My sentiment comes from the "Just a Note" Borders & Centers set (JustRite) and the square border comes from the "Square Decorative Frame Borders" set (JustRite). I diecut these with the Spellbinders Classic Squares & Classic Inverted Scallop Squares.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I really appreciate your time. Have a great day!!

Watering Can with daisies

Good morning everyone. Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge 154 over at CPS. I really struggled with this sketch. I am trying to use more plain cardstock instead of printed paper which is a really difficult thing for me to do. I think that my card came out really pretty though.

My focal point is the watering can filled with beautiful daisies. This stamp comes in the "Autumn Blessings" Borders & Centers set by JustRite. It is a large oval stamp but the great thing about these stamps is their versatility. Just because the stamp is oval doesn't mean that it needs to be cut into an oval. I colored it with Copics and diecut it with Spellbinders Curved Rectangles. I matted it onto several layers of yellow and green cardstock.

My three little daisy circles on the side are also a stamp by JustRite. It is in the "Beautiful Blossoms" Borders & Centers set. I just stamped & colored the image and then used a 1" circle punch to punch out the part that I wanted.

My sentiment in the lower right hand corner comes from the "Seeds of Kindness" Borders & Centers set (JustRite). I think the sentiment fit perfectly with the beautiful daisies.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers - Autumn Blessings Borders & Centers, Beautiful Blossoms Borders & Centers, Seeds of Kindness Borders & Centers, 2 1/4" x 3 1/16" wood stamper, 1 5/8" wood stamper

Paper: DCWV

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Copic Markers (C3, G14, Y06, YG03, YR04, Silver Spica)

Accessories: Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, SU 1" & 1 1/4" circle punches, SU 1 1/4" scallop punch, Cuttlebug Houndstooth embossing folder

Spring Daisy

Happy Friday morning. Another week is coming to an end. School vacation here in Maine is coming to an end. Hopefully Spring will be "just around the corner" but since I have lived in Maine all of my life, I do realize that the snow is not ready to hibernate yet. We have had it pretty easy so far this winter. Hopefully it continues.

Today I have a "springy" card to share. I am also playing along with the JustRite Friday challenge. The challenge is to use "beautiful botanticals". With their recent release of beautiful floral stamps, the only hard part about this challenge was choosing which floral stamp I want to use.
My focal point is a daisy from the "My Garden" borders & centers set by JustRite. I stamped it onto Neenah cardstock, colored it with Copic markers and diecut it using Spellbinders Circles.

Below is a photo of the beautiful images in this set. The images are very detailed and easily colored. The size is also perfect for cards as well as scrapbook pages. I am working on some scrapbook pages where I will be using some of the newly released JustRite Botantical stamp sets. Who says that stamps are for cardmaking only???

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Supplies:

Paper: Core'dinations, DCWV

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Copic Markers (Y08, YR24)

Accessories: Spellbinder Classic Circle Nestabilities, Spellbinders Fancy Tags, Kaiser Pearls, Martha Stewart Picket Fence border punch, Cuttlebug Moroccan Screen embossing folder

Sorry about the short post today. With school vacation this week, things seem to be stacking up and not getting done. My daughter is going to the movies with a friend so that is my cue to get caught up.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. Be sure to check out the JustRite blog tomorrow for another great weekly challenge.

Friends

Good Morning everyone. Well, I guess it will be a good morning for most of you - for me I am off to the dentist for a cleaning today. Luckily it only happens every 6 months.

I did have time to make this card though. I decided to use the sketch from last week on Splitcoast. This sketch was very simple yet had lots of possibilities.

For my focal point, I chose a center from the Breath of Spring Borders & Centers set by JustRite . I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with my Copics. Then I decided it needed a bit more "bling" so I added glitter to the flowers. I think it makes them pop more. The sentiment is from the Joyful Hearts Borders & Centers set by JustRite.

I am trying to completely finish my cards by adding something to the inside also. For this card, I chose a designer center & border from the Friendship Borders & Centers set, also by JustRite. I think this sentiment goes perfectly with the sentiment on the front of the card.
This photo shows a closeup of the glittery flowers.
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Supplies:

Paper: SEI Bissette Stack, A2Z, Worldwin cardstock

Your Kindness

Good Morning everyone. Today I am playing along with Sharon Johnson's Friday challenge that she posted last week. When I saw this challenge I KNEW that I had to play along. The challenge was to use the colors purple & green. The reason I HAD to play was because these were the 2 colors that I had in my wedding almost 13 years ago!! I love this color combination!

My bouquet stamp is from the "Breath of Spring" set by JustRite Stampers, colored with Copics and diecut using Spellbinders Classic Ovals & Scallop Ovals Nestabilities. In the upper left corner, I added branches using the Martha Stewart branch punch.

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I rarely do anything on the inside of my card except write who it is from. This time I decided to use the sentiment from the "Joyful Hearts" Borders & Centers set (JustRite), diecut with Spellbinders Labels 6. This stamp set has perfect sentiments to add to the inside of my cards. I stamped the floral center that I had used on the front of my card again and diecut it with the Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities. I thought that it would help dress up the inside of my card. The fence is Martha Stewart Picket Fence border punch.

The photo below shows a closeup of the inside sentiment. Perfect for several different occasions.

This photo shows the closeup of the floral designer center that I used for the front of my card. These little flowers are so dainty looking.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in for a visit. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. My youngest daughter Emily and I are heading north to visit my other daughter Heather for the day.

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers - Breath Of Spring Borders & Centers, Joyful Hearts Borders & Centers, 2 1/4" x 3 1/16" oval stamper, 1 3/4" x 2 5/16" oval stamper

Paper: Worldwin cardstock

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Memento Bamboo Leaves, Versamagic Purple Hydrangea, Copic Markers (BV-01, BV13, V17, YG01, YG09, YG07)

Birthday Girl

Good morning everyone. It is Friday!! Today I am helping out at my daughter's school. They are having Winter Olympics day with all the ceremonies and competitions. It should be a fun day.

Today is also challenge day at JustRite Inspiration. Each Friday they challenge everyone with a different type of project. The challenges are posted about a month prior to the challenge date so it gives you a chance to think of ideas to do. Check out the challenges by going here.

Today the challenge is called "Birthday Bash". I decided to make a birthday card for my stash. I used my Cricut Expression along with the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge to make this adorable little girl holding a balloon.

My sentiment comes from the Birthday Wishes Borders and Centers Set. I stamped the center onto light pink paper using Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid. The border was stamped onto dark pink paper using Memento Rich Cocoa. Each were diecut using the Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities. For the balloon, I added the number "5" using the 50 point Curlz Font.

I'm sure any little girl would love to get a card like this. The paper doll can be removed so that the Birthday Girl can play with her. I love making paper dolls. Brings me back to my childhood.

That's it for today. I am off to watch the "Peru Olympics". Have a wonderful day and a wonderful weekend everyone.

Supplies:

Stamps: JustRite Stampers - Birthday Wishes Borders & Centers, Curlz Font ensemble, 2 3/8" wood stamper

Paper: DCWV

Ink: Brilliance Pearlescent Orchid, Memento Rich Cocoa

Accessories: Cricut Expression, Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge, Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities, Pebbles Inc chalk, Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder, ribbon

JustRite Design Team Member

WOOHOO!!! Today is my official announcement that I have been asked to join the amazingly talented ladies as a member of the JustRite design team. I am sooooo excited. I have loved these stamps since I was first introduced to them. I never really called myself a "stamper" until I started using these stamps. They are so versatile and easy to use. These stamps have also made me come out of my comfort zone by learning to "color". The images are amazing to color.

For my project, I decided it was time to get ready for the next big holiday - St. Patrick's Day. At our house, the "leprechaun's" come out at night and leave green foot prints everywhere, change water & food to green, and leave gold coins. I thought this little leprechaun was so cute. I made him using my Cricut Expression along with the Paper Doll Dressup cartridge. He is cut at a size 8 1/2. I also decided to make a project to play along with the weekly challenge over at Just Buggin' which was to make a 3-Dimensional project. Check it out here and give it a try. I love 3-D projects!!

To make his little sign, I loaded my large rectangular wood stamper with my sentiment using the 50 point Curlz font, stamped onto white cardstock with Memento Bamboo Leaves, and diecut with Spellbinders Labels One and Classic Squares, added a skewer and adhered to his hand.

To make the pot o' gold, I cut the pot twice and made a little box to go between the 2 pots so that it would stand up. I stamped my center image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto white cardstock, a center from the Favorite Occasions Borders & Centers set & colored with Copics. Then I stamped the border (also from the Favorite Occasions set) onto gold cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black. Each were diecut using the Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities. My green mat was diecut using the Spellbinders Pinking Circles Nestabilities.

Isn't he cute!!! I had a lot of fun creating him.

Thanks for stopping in today for my big announcement. I am very excited to become a member of this design team. I hope you will check back daily for more great projects.

Have a great day!!!

Valentines Day Classroom Treats

Good Morning everyone. Today I have a Valentine's Day project to share with you. I made these for my daughter Emily's 4th grade class. I personalized each one for her classmates as well as the teachers and principals.

To begin, I chose the "Sweet Treats For You" demi phrase from the Celebrations Demi Phrases set by JustRite Stampers. To personalize these, I used the Times Roman 15 point font to spell out "From Emily". For the names in the centers, I used the Times Roman 25 point font.

Once stamped, I diecut them using the Spellbinders Classic Circles and Classic Scallop Circles Nestabilities. The mats for the girls had to be pink and the mats for the boys had to be red (per instructions from my daughter **LOL**).

Very simple project that I am sure the kids are going to love.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. Have a great day!!!

Supplies:

Paper: DCWV

Ink: Memories Cherry Red

Accessories: Spellbinders Classic Circles & Scallop Circles Nestabilities

My card today uses the new set by JustRite Stampers called "Joyful Hearts". These sentiments are perfect for several different occasions. I thought it fit perfectly with the DCWV paper that I chose for my card. I diecut the sentiment using the Spellbinders Classic Ovals and made the "flower" mat using Spellbinders Classic Scallop Circles. The bottom layer is diecut using the Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Pendent cut twice and layered.

Good morning everyone. Just wanted to post a quick note saying that I am having computer issues so my blogging access is limited. My laptop is at the computer shop and will hopefully be repaired soon. I will try to get a project posted within the next few days. Isn't it amazing how much we depend on computers and then when they are gone, we are lost!!

Thanks for checking in.

Garden Tour Blog Hop

Welcome to the JustRite Garden Tour Blog Hop. Today the designers will be showing projects designed using the soon to be released sets. Be sure to check out the JustRite blog throughout this week for sneek peaks at these incredible stamp sets.

Today I chose the set called "Joyful Hearts". This set has all beautiful sentiments as well as very nice borders, perfect for cardmaking and scrapbooking. I decided to do a scrapbook page today.
I don't know about anyone else, but I am SOOO far behind on my pages. I really need to buckle down and get them done. I guess this is a good start.

This photo is of my youngest daughter Emily with her great-grandmother standing in front of her beautiful flowers. My grandmother has the family "green thumb". I think that by the time it came to me, the "green" had worn off because I am not very good with flowers.

The sentiment that I chose for the upper right hand corner "Precious" comes from the Baby Stamp Ensemble - also by JustRite Stampers. I thought it was the perfect fit for this page.

Below is a closeup of the "Joyful Hearts" sentiment. I chose the sentiment "Fill each day with joy" because that is what my grandmother and Emily do for me each day.

This stamp set is oval shaped and fits into the small oval wood stamper.

Below is a list of the JustRite design team. Be sure to check out their blogs today for some amazing inspiration.

Day Lillies

Good Morning everyone. This week JustRite Stampers will be featuring sneak peeks at their new releases coming out soon. Today I am using an image from the "Breath of Spring" set. For more details and photos be sure to stop over at their blog.
