Christmas 2015 Advent Calendar

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to another amazing release from JustRite Papercraft.  Today I've chosen to make a cute advent calendar using JustRite Papercraft's Christmas Mini Tags.

I cut all of the Christmas stocking using my Cricut Expression with the Christmas Cheer cartridge.  Next I used the JustRite Papercraft Christmas Mini Tags set to stamp each day of the month.  The cute border around my calendar is made using Martha Stewart loops border punch.  I bought the small clothespins at Hobby Lobby.

Below is a closeup of the star which was made using Spellbinders Stars 5.  The sentiment is also included in JustRite Papercraft's Christmas Mini Tags.

Gift Box

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day 3 of JustRite Papercraft's August release.  Today there is 1 stamp set and 2 die sets --  Celebrations Sentiments, Vintage Labels Nine die and Vintage Flourish One die.

If you've visited my blog in the past you may have noticed that I really like to create 3-D projects, especially boxes.  That is exactly what I decided to do today when I saw the new Vintage Labels Nine die.  It seemed like the perfect shape to create a beautiful gift box.

I diecut 7 pieces using the JustRite Vintage Labels Nine die, taped them all together and then adhered it to a Spellbinders Grand Stately Circles diecut.  I added some flowers using Spellbinders Carnation Creations die and Spellbinders Foliage 2 leaves.

The cover is made using Spellbinders Grand Stately Circles and Grand Circles.  The handle is hand cut with some pearls applied.  The flowers are also made using Spellbinders Carnation Creations.  

The cute tag is a sentiment from Celebrations Sentiments, diecut using JustRite Vintage Labels 6 and hung with some gold string.  The final step was to wrap a beautiful ribbon around the box and add a pretty pink bow.

Christmas Shadow Box

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to another day with JustRite Papercraft's July release.  Today is all about Christmas.  The stamp sets today are Merry Christmas Ornament, Merry Wishes, and Retro Sparkle Background.

Today I have a really cute Christmas shadow box.  This shadow box could be used for any type of theme - I've actually done another one with the beach theme.  I saw some of these while looking through Pinterest so I went looking for the instructions.  I found them here.  It was super easy to make.

Once the shadow box was assembled I began my design.  First I stamped the Retro Sparkle Background and cut it to fit the back of the shadow box.  Next I stamped the wreath image from Merry Christmas Ornament onto the matching SVG cut file.  To finish off the shadow box I added some Petaloo poinsettias and a pretty bow.

Sunflower basket

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to more of JustRite Papercraft's July release.  Today's sets are Stitched Sunflowers and Basketweave Background.

To create my basket I used the instructions found on Marisa Job's blog - it's super easy!!  Once I diecut the basket sides (using JustRite Papercraft's Vintage and Labels Banner dies) I stamped them using the Basket weave background stamp.

The cute sunflowers are included in the Stitched Sunflowers Vintage Labels Eight set which also has a matching SVG cut file - making it super easy to create a beautiful basket!  The 3-D sunflower hanging from the handle is also created using Stitched Sunflowers Vintage Labels Eight set - all I did was stamp the image 5 times, fold in half, and attach to each other.  It's hung using fishing line.

Vintage Fan

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day 2 of JustRite Papercraft's July release.  Today's set is called Floral Fan clear stamps and has a coordinating die set called Vintage Fan.

Today I decided to go a different route away from cards.  I decided to create a home decor piece.  This is a fairly large piece.  The black piece measures approximately 9" wide.   I used the Spellbinders Grand Decorative Ovals One for the base pieces.  

The fan is created using JustRite Papercraft's Floral Fan Elements, stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder giving the fan a glossy look.  The fan pieces are diecut using JustRite Papercraft's Vintage Fan dies.  Once the fan pieces were attached, I added some black lace along the top edge of the fan.

To finish the decor piece, I added some cute bows on the bottom of the hanger and a bow with a flower along the bottom of the fan.

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to the final day of JustRite Papercraft's May release.  Today's release sets are Bicycle Built For Two and Iron Swirls Background.

I decided to go with a simple home decor project for today using Bicycle Built For Two.  This set has a SVG cut file so it was super easy to use.  I stamped the bicycle onto the cut file and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  I placed the bicycle inside a pretty frame that is lined with some grass paper.  It reminds me of the hours and hours of biking that I did as a young girl.

The sentiment is also included in Bicycle Built For Two.  This sentiment seems so perfect for the hectic lives that we all have once we become adults!!

Whisper Secrets and Butterfly Kisses

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a really sweet home decor piece using another new release sets from JustRite Papercrafts - Whisper Secrets clear stamps and Butterfly Kisses clear stamps.

I purchased this adorable wooden heart at Michaels just because I thought that is was cute.  I had no idea what I was going to actually do with it though.  Then came these 2 stamp sets - Whisper Secrets and Butterfly Kisses.  I have lots of butterfly themed items in my home so I thought this would be a perfect addition.

To begin, I traced the heart and banner onto some printed paper and cut it out.  I inked the edges of the paper to give it a bit more dimension.  Next, I took the beautiful butterfly image from Butterfly Kisses cling stamp and stamped it directly onto the paper.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Whisper Secrets cling stamp directly over the butterfly image using a darker brown ink.  For the top banner, I stamped the sentiment from Butterfly Kisses cling stamp three times using 2 different ink colors.

JustRite Papercraft's January Release Day One - Tufted Vintage Labels Seven Background

Good morning and Happy New Year everyone!!  Today is a special day for me because 25 years ago I gave birth to my oldest daughter Heather.  Wow - I can't believe that it's been 25 years, where does the time go!!!

Today is also the first day of JustRite Papercraft's January release.  Today I created a tissue box cover using Tufted Vintage Labels Seven Background Stamp as my box base.

I really love to make tissue box covers.  It just makes having a tissue box on the counter top so much prettier!

Each side of the tissue box cover is done differently.  The butterflies are part of the Black Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five Clear Stamp set, colored with Copics and handcut.   Below I have posted each side with the stamp set used.

Perfect Blend - Coffee and Friends Background

Good morning.  Welcome to Day 4 of the JustRite November release.  Today's release is Coffee and Friends Background.  I'm not a coffee drinker but I couldn't resist playing with this background stamp simply because this rooster is so ADORABLE!!

I decided to create a shadow box that can be hung up in any kitchen.  To make the shadow box I just took an 8 x 10 canvas and used the back side.  For the sides of the shadow box I pulled out my "dusty" paper crimper and crimped some ivory paper and then inked the edges with Ranger Walnut Stain.  Then I added some twine along the edges and a sweet twine bow for the top corner.

Next I used Spellbinders Fancy Lattice die to create the appearance of chicken wire to insert into the shadow box.  I stamped the Coffee and Friends Background, colored with Copic markers and matted onto dark burgundy cardstock.

Celebrate - JustRite Papercraft Lavish Corners Background Stamp

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day 3 of JustRite's October Release.  Today there are 2 background stamps being shown - Elegant Corners Labels Four Background and Lavish Corners Background.

I decided to create a shadow box today using a canvas that I purchased at the craft store.  All I did was turn the canvas over and used the back which created the shadow box.

To cover the canvas staples I stamped Elegant Fronds Background onto some extra canvas pieces that I had laying around and then adhered it to the four sides of the canvas.  I then added some silver metal corners which were diecut using Becca Feeken's Filigree Corner die.  For a more decorative look I added some strings of pearls along each edge.

To cover the inside of the frame I stamped Elegant Fronds Background onto a white piece of paper and then adhered to the canvas.  The gorgeous mat for my photo is Lavish Corners Background.  My photo is diecut using Spellbinders Classic Ovals and matted onto Spellbinders Classic Scallop Ovals.

To finish off my frame I chose a perfect sentiment which is included in Birthday Vintage Labels Four, stamped onto a spare piece of canvas and diecut using JustRite Antique Tags One.

Decorative Books

Good morning everyone.  Wow, it's been a while since I posted a project!!  I didn't realize that it had been 2 weeks.  I've been busy with a new job and also some behind the scenes work for JustRite Papercraft.  It's also hard to believe that Summer is almost over!!  My daughter goes back to school in about 1 1/2 weeks.

Today I have a set of "books" that I created using the plain brown paper mache books that I purchased at AC Moore.  I have always wanted to decorate these books so I had tons of fun making these.  The theme for the books is "Friends".

For each of the books I started by covering them with some gorgeous DCWV decorative paper.  It has lots of shimmer and glitz in it.

For the blue book I used a sentiment from Get Well Labels Twenty along with a frame from this set, diecut with Spellbinders Labels 20 and matted onto Grand Big Scallop Ovals.   The frame is colored using Copic Markers.  The decorative piece along the top of the book is Spellbinders Flourish Trim die.  I also added some beautiful flowers that I created using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms.

For this book I chose a sentiment and frame from Grateful Heart Vintage Labels Two, diecut with JustRite Vintage Labels Two and matted onto Spellbinders Grand Labels 11.  I also added more beautiful Bitty Blossoms flowers.

For this book I chose a frame and sentiment from Live, Love, Laugh Vintage Labels Two, diecut with JustRite Vintage Labels Two and matted onto Spellbinders Grand Labels 11.  And more Bitty Blossoms!!

I didn't want to leave the book ends plain so I chose 3 different sentiments from Good Friends Labels Twenty Nine, stamped onto cardstock and diecut with Spellbinders Petite Ovals.  The scrolls along the top and bottom edges of the books are included in Large Fancy Sentiments.

I hope you enjoy looking at the books as much as I enjoyed creating them.  Now I just need to find a place to put them so that my cats don't eat them!!

JustRite August release Day 1

Good morning everyone.  Today is the first day of the JustRite August release.  Today's release is actually a beautiful die designed by Becca Feeken called "Lacey Tiers".

I used the Lacey Tiers die to create a Christmas ornament.  I created this ornament by accident.  As I was trying to figure out what I was going to create with the Lacey Tiers die I was playing with the diecut in my hands.  Just then it hit me - I folded 2 of the corners together and got 2 of the ornament points.  I diecut 4 of the Lacey Tiers, folded each one and adhered the centers together.

For the inside of the ornament I chose a sentiment from Christmas Inner Thoughts, diecut with Spellbinders Scallop Labels One.  The beautiful bow was made using ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
