Jesus......

Good morning everyone.  Today we are continuing the July release with more Samantha Walker stamp sets. Today's set is called "O Holy Night".  It is a beautiful Christmas set that is sure to be on a lot of "must have" lists.

To begin I created my background by using Faber Castell Gelatos - if you haven't tried these you really need to!!!  I'm not much of an "artist" but with the Gelatos I was able to take a white piece of paper and create this beautiful background - just by randomly applying orange and yellow Gelatos and blending it will water and my finger.

Once the background was dry I stamped the beautiful nativity scene along with the sentiment, using Memento Tuxedo Black.  To finish off my card I added some white pearls.

Here are a few of the other JustRite designers also using "O Holy Night" today.

Both sentiments are included in Buntings and Banners and diecut using Spellbinders Ribbon Banners and Labels 29.  The cute buttons are also included in Buntings and Banners.  To get the "shiny button" look I heat embossed some clear embossing powder after they were stamped.  For more color I applied green Stickles along the edges of the card.

Bless You

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a get well/sympathy card to share.  These are the type of cards that are difficult to create simply because of the reason behind needing one.  I try to keep these type of cards as simple as possible yet elegant to try and send some comfort to the recipient.

My card base is created using Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles die.  I added some pretty purple rhinestones randomly around the outer edges to add extra color.

I placed a pretty purple 3 looped bow onto the card base.  The beautiful sentiment is from JustRite Get Well Labels Twenty, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals.  The sentiment is matted onto purple cardstock diecut with Spellbinders Floral Ovals.

I'm hope that the recipient of this card can find some comfort with this card in a time of sorrow.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Explore

Good morning.  Today I have a cute tag to share with you.  It kinda goes along with the card that I posted on Friday.  I rarely make tags but need to start making more - they are really cute and fun to make.

The actual tag was cut using my Cricut Expression.  The tag base was made using JustRite Vintage Travel Background - stamped onto the cardstock once it had been cut with the Cricut.  The 3 circle images are included in JustRite Monogram Your Journey, diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles and placed onto some  chipboard which can also be diecut with the Spellbinders Classic Circles.  The word "Explore" is included in the JustRite Explore Vintage Labels Four set and diecut with JustRite Vintage Label and Banners.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a wonderful day!!

Dear Husband

Good afternoon everyone.  Today I have a card to share that I've made for my hubby.  We recently celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary so I wanted to make a special card to show him how special he is to me.  My husband is also a huge fisherman/boater so these stamp sets from JustRite were perfect!

I really like the look of layers for cards - this card is no exception.  The top layer happens to be a piece of burlap that I had sitting around just waiting for the perfect card!  I inked the edges using Memento Rich Cocoa.

All of the images and sentiments (except the little anchor) are part of the JustRite Anchors Away set.  The little anchor is part of JustRite Monogram Your Journey set.

The center map image is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and diecut with JustRite Nested Oval Medallion Labels.  The boat is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles.
The card sentiment is diecut with JustRite Antique Tags One.  The cute banner across the top of the card was created using JustRite Buntings and Buttons die with the cute little anchors from Monogram Your Journey stamped onto it.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a great weekend!

Forever

Good morning everyone.  Today is an exciting day for me - I start a new job!!  I have been a stay at home mom since my youngest daughter was born almost 13 years ago.  I'm excited for this new adventure and hope it goes well.

Today I have a card to share that was created using the JustRite Papercraft Friday Sketch challenge.  I love to use sketches for my cards - it takes part of the work of designing away which is always nice!

Here is my interpretation of the Friday sketch:

My card base is made using the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Detailed Scallop die - This die is GORGEOUS!!  I added some green stickles around the edges to spruce it up!  Next I added some layers using cardstock and designer paper.  The sentiment is from JustRite "For All You Do Vintage Labels Three", diecut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and matted onto Spellbinders Floral Ovals.  The word "Forever" was actually part of the designer paper that I used for my card so I thought it was perfect to go along with the beautiful sentiment.

I added more layers beneath the word "Forever" and used Spellbinders Classic Edges Two to get the decorative edge.  Of course for the flower portion of the sketch I chose one of my favorite Spellbinders dies - Bitty Blossoms!!  I added some glitter to the Bitty Blossom to give it some sparkle.

Be sure to check out the JustRite Friday challenges - they are a lot of fun and you could win some really cool stuff!!  This week the sponsor of the challenge is Spellbinders so you can win some dies - how great would that be!!!

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great day!

Garden Gate

Good morning everyone.  I have been seeing a lot of these step cards posted all over blogland so I decided to give it a try.  I love the look of a step card and the dimension that it gives.  Plus there are lots of spots to add embellishments or extra layers.
As soon as I cut and scored my card I immediately grabbed my Spellbinders Gilded Gate die and Wrought Iron die.  I knew that these dies would be perfect for this type of card.  It's hard to see in the photo but I folded the Gilded Gate at the center point so it appears that the gate is beginning to open up.  It's a bit easier to see it in the photo below.
For the verse I chose one from JustRite Poppies Labels 29 and framed it with an image from JustRite Special Gifts Labels 29.  The frame is colored with Copic markers, diecut with Spellbinders Labels 29 and matted onto Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday

Good morning,  Today I have a masculine birthday card to share.  I don't know about everyone else but masculine cards are really hard for me to do.  I think it's because I really like the frilly look of lots of layers, bows, glitter, etc on cards.  But there are many times when a masculine card is needed so I had to push the ribbon and bows to the side :)

Today's card uses some of the new releases from JustRite Papercraft.  The base layer is a new background called "Leafy Background", stamped with Versamagic Sahara Sand.  I also stamped the Leafy Background using Versamagic Aloe Vera and diecut a circle using Spellbinders Standard Circles.  On that circle I stamped an antique car from JustRite Papercraft Explore Vintage Labels Four.  I also used font from JustRite Papercraft Market Place Alphabet to stamp "DAD".  The sentiment "Happy Birthday" is also included in Explore Vintage Labels Four and diecut with Spellbinders Labels 4.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Today is my 16th Wedding Anniversary so I will be spending some quality time with my hubby.  I hope you have a great day.

Speedy Recovery

Good morning.  Today I have a Get Well card that I've made to add to my card stockpile.  This type of card  is always good to have on hand for those unexpected needs.

The card focal point is an image and sentiment from a new release from JustRite Papercraft called "Get Well Labels Twenty".  The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics, and diecut using Spellbinders Labels Twenty.  The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut with Spellbinders Grand Ovals.

Here is a look at the entire "Get Well Labels Twenty" set

JustRite Papercraft June Release Day 5

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to the final day of the JustRite June Release.  Today there are 2 background stamps being shown - Leafy Background and Autumn Swirls Background.  I have a card using the Autumn Swirls Background today and will have one using Leafy Background sometime later this week.

To create my background I randomly applied Gelatos to the Autumn Swirls Background, spritzed it with water, stamped it onto cardstock, cut into 1" squares and placed onto yellow cardstock to create a "window appearance.

The sentiments are from JustRite Ornate Happiness Squares and diecut using Spellbinders Long Rectangles (Thankful), JustRite Charms (I am) and JustRite Vintage Labels and Banners (Because of you...).

To finish the card I added a cute bow using some acorn ribbon.

Here are the other JustRite designers also using Autumn Swirls Background and Leafy Background.

JustRite Papercraft June Release Day 4

Good morning and welcome to Day 4 of the JustRite June Release.  Today we have some really great Halloween stamps - Boo-tiful Cameos and Spiderweb Background.  These sets were designed by Samantha Walker

I decided to make a cute little Halloween treat bag using today's Halloween Stamps.  Once I diecut the bag from cardstock I stamped the Spiderweb background using Memento Tuxedo Black.
The sentiment "Trick or Treat" and cameo are included in Boo-tiful Cameos.  To get the multi color I just applied Memento Grape Jelly and Memento Tangelo randomly.  The sentiment is diecut with Spellbinders Square Swatches.  The spider is also part of the Boo-tiful Cameos and just handcut.  The word "Halloween" was also multi-inked.

Here are the other JustRite designers with some really cool projects using Spiderweb Background and Boo-tiful Cameos.

JustRite Papercraft June Release Day 3

Good morning and welcome to Day 3 of the JustRite June Release.  Today there are 2 sets - Sweet Lace Background and Doilies and Lace.

To begin my card, I stamped the Sweet Lace Background onto green cardstock using white embossing powder.  Next I colored an image from Doilies and Lace directly using Memento Markers (Bamboo Leaves and Lulu Lavender), stamped onto white cardstock and diecut with Spellbinders Standard Circles and matted onto Spellbinders Petite Scallop Circles.  The image was also stamped 2 more times and diecut with Spellbinders Standard Circles to get the center images.

For the border along the bottom of the card, I used another image from Doilies and Lace, stamped with Versamagic Purple Hydrangea and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Edges One.  The corner images are also from Doilies and Lace and just handcut.

Here are the other JustRite designers with some amazing projects using Doilies and Lace and Sweet Lace Background
