Gift Card Holder

Good morning everyone.  Today I am playing along with the challenge over at Caardvarks - create a gift card holder.  I give lots of gift cards at Christmas - only because people are so difficult to shop for - I would rather give a gift card so that they can get something that they really want instead of giving them something that will just be put into a closet.  I personally love getting gift cards simply because I love shopping!!!

My gift card holder was created using my Cricut Expression along with the Trim The Tree cartridge.  I purchased this cartridge (early Christmas gift for me) during my Black Friday shopping.  The images are very "lacy" looking.

The center image is from the "A Merry Little Christmas" set by JustRite, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics, and punched with a SU circle punch.

This is a look at the inside area which holds the gift card.  I pulled out my neglected sewing machine to stitch the holder section.  The stamped image is from 2 JustRite stamp sets - "Hearts Come Home" and "From Our House", stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Cottage Ivy and colored with Copics.  The border is diecut with Spellbinders Labels 1.

This photo shows a closeup of the gift card pocket.
That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great day!!

Dream

Good afternoon everyone.  I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and ate lots and lots of yummy food.  I know that I did!!  I originally had this card ready to post yesterday but I did "Black Friday" shopping instead.  I got some really great deals but the crowds of people are unbelievable!!!  Glad it only comes once a year.

My card is based on this weeks sketch over at CPS.  It is a fairly simple sketch but the possibilities with it are endless.

My focal point sentiment comes from the newly released Cling set by JustRite Stampers called "Garden Fairy Wishes".  These new cling sets are so adorable!!

I stamped the image with Memento Rich Cocoa and then diecut it with Spellbinders Labels 14 which fit perfectly with this sentiment.  I added lots of  mat layers including a border from the "Victorian Nested Frames" set by JustRite.  The word "Dream" was diecut with Spellbinders Labels Trio with the end cut off.

Here is a closeup of this really cute sentiment.  I happened to have some sparkly diecut stars floating around so I decided to add them to my card to match up with the stars in the sentiment.

And here is a look at the complete "Garden Fairy Wishes" set.  Isn't it just ADORABLE!!!

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a great weekend!

This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team are the 2 Sketches 4 You designers! JustRite is sponsoring this week’s 2S4Y #66 sketch challenge. You can find the fabulous sketch inspiration AND details about the JustRite prize package, by visiting their blog post HERE.

My project today uses one of the newly released Cling sets called "Simple Blessings".  This set is gorgeous!!!  As soon as I saw this church it reminded me of the church that I grew up going to.  My grandmother has been a member of this same church for over 50 years!

My card is based on the sketch challenge over at 2 Sketches 4 You which is being sponsored by JustRite this week.  I love using sketches as inspiration.

I stamped the church onto black cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed it with silver embossing powder.  The oval frame around the church is from the "Breath Of Spring" set, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and handcut.  Then I matted it onto a Spellbinders Big Scallop Ovals mat and a black Spellbinders Beaded Ovals mat.
The bottom border was created with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Border.  The sentiment is also from the "Simple Blessings" set diecut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags.

Here is a closer look at this gorgeous church!!

And here is a closer look at the entire "Simple Blessings" cling set.

Pie Sale

Good morning everyone.  Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only a few days away - where has the year gone!!  Today I have 2 pies to share with you.  Each year my daughter's school has a pie sale before Thanksgiving to raise money for the PTO.  They ask the parents to donate pies which they then sell to community members and the money goes to purchase things for school.

The first pie is a cherry pie.  I created a belly band with a border using the Martha Stewart Lattice border punch.  Then I used a border & center from the "Homemade Treats" set by JustRite, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and Memento Rhubarb Stalk and diecut with Spellbinders.  The label "Cherry" was stamped using JustRite Curlz font and diecut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags.

Here is a closeup of the labels.
For my second pie I made a Banana Cream pie.  The belly band was created with the Martha Stewart loops border punch.  Then I used a border & center from the "Homemade Treats" set (JustRite), stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and Memento Dandelion and diecut with Spellbinders.  The label "Banana Cream" was created with JustRite Curlz font and diecut with Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio 2.
Here is a closeup of the labels

JustRite Challenge _045 Celebrate Good Times

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a scrapbook page for the JustRite Friday challenge.  The challenge is called "Celebrate Good Times" and is sponsored by Flower Soft.  I decided to do a scrapbook page with some of my wedding photos.  I can't believe that it has been 13 years since I married my wonderful husband.  It has been 13 wonderful  years and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

Since this challenge is being sponsored by Flower Soft, I decided to use the silver Flower Soft on my large hearts as well as a border around my sentiment.  All of the hearts were diecut with Spellbinders Classic Hearts and Classic Scallop Hearts.

The sentiment is from the JustRite "Romantic Sentiments" set - it reads  "When I followed my Heart it led me to You".  This was the perfect sentiment for my page because that is exactly how I feel about my hubby.  The borders beneath my sentiment is from the JustRite "Baroque Nested Frames" set.

The black borders on either side of my page were created with the Spellbinders Grand 12" Classic Lace Border.  Amazingly I purchased this die about a year ago and this is the first time I have used it!!  I don't understand why it took me this long to use it because I think it is so pretty.  Oh well, must be because I have WAY too much stuff and forget what I have!  I didn't have any Kaiser pearls that would match my page so I grabbed my Copic Marker (R39) and colored them to match.  I love Copics!!

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great weekend!!

Supplies:

Stamps:  JustRite Stampers - Romantic Sentiments, Baroque Nested Frames

Ink:  Memento Rhubarb Stalk, Memento Tuxedo Black Copic Markers (R39, 100)

Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Hearts, Classic Scallop Hearts, Fancy Tags, Grand 12" Classic Lace Border, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder, Kaiser pearls, Silver Flower Soft

Welcome to the 11th week of JustRite Stampers’ Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops! Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite design team for a series of Christmas blog hops, showcasing JustRite’s entire Christmas Collection of stamps! Don’t forget that JustRite has some Christmas stamps in their newly released CLING line of stamp sets, too -- you can find them HERE. This week, the designers joining the JustRite design team are the Stampers Dream design team and a few other special guests!

For the month of November, we thought we would switch gears a little and throw in some holiday gift ideas using your JustRite stamps, so be watching for those, too, on November’s hops! And in celebration of JustRite’s Christmas Blog Hops, they have a huge surprise for you -- take 25% off All JustRite Original Christmas Stamps now through November 29 with free shipping within the U.S. on orders over $50-- Don't forget to tell Santa!

Today I have a cute little gift box to share.  I found the instructions here.  The instructions were very easy to follow.   This little box would be perfect for any type of gift.  I chose to use it for a mini stuffed animal.

This adorable elephant is from the newly released JustRite Stampers set called "Ellie Time".  I just stamped it onto gray cardstock and cut it out.  Then I stamped it again onto white cardstock, colored the vest and cut it out.  The sentiment "I love you" is also from this same set and diecut with Spellbinders Double Ended Tags.  The sentiment "Just For You" comes from the "All Occasions Nested Sentiments" set and is diecut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags.

Here is a look of the box without the stuffed animal inside.  This elephant is SOOO cute!!!

This photo shows a side shot of this box.  It is such a great size for a little gift.  Could be for a teacher, boss, or even my mail lady.

Below is a photo of the entire "Ellie Time" stamp set.  This is a perfect set for kids cards and even better for scrapbook pages.

Be sure to check out all of the other amazing designers that are blog hopping today.  There is only 1 more week of these Wednesday Blog Hops.  Don't miss out on all of this great inspiration.

Popcorn Santa

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a cute little gift idea to share.  I saw this on Splitcoast Stampers a while back and finally decided to give it a try.  It has a package of popcorn inside - the perfect stocking stuffer - especially for my 10 year old daughter.  She LOVES popcorn and this packaging makes it super cute to give as a gift.

I used several sizes of SU circles punches to make the beard and eyes.  I used the SU scallop circle punch for the eyebrows, hair and pompom.

The sentiment is from the JustRite "Christmas Nested Sentiments" set with the border from "Christmas Nested Frames", colored with Copics and handcut.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Be sure to stop in tomorrow for another week of Christmas Blog Hops with JustRite.

Happy Birthday

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a birthday card to share with you based on the sketch over at CPS.  This birthday card is for my husband.  His birthday is on Thursday.  He will be out of town on his birthday so I made it early and packed it in his suitcase so that he has it for his birthday.

I used some of the sentiments from the newly released set from JustRite called "Wedding Nested Sentiments" along with borders from the "Victorian Nested Frames" set.  Even though this set is titled "Wedding" doesn't mean that it has to be for a wedding card.  These sentiments are perfect for that someone special in your life when you want them to know just how special they are to you.

The main sentiment is stamped with Memento Cottage Ivy and the borders are stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and handcut.  The bottom sentiment is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.  The heart shape mat is diecut with Spellbinders Classic Hearts and Classic Scallop Hearts and embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great day.

JustRite Friday Challenge _044

Good morning everyone.  Today is another Friday challenge over at JustRite.  This week the challenge is a color challenge.  I also decided to combine the color challenge with a sketch challenge from 2Sketches4You.

This card has lots and lots of layers.  The daisy border across the top of my card was created using the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Trim border punch.

The sentiment is from the newly released JustRite stamp set called "Friendship Nested Sentiments", stamped directly onto the paper using Memento Potters Clay.  Also on the same paper I stamped the flowers from the "Friendship" stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics.

The butterflies are a Tonic Studio punch.  I added yellow Stickles for the "tails" behind the butterflies.  I also added yellow Stickles around the entire border.

Here is a look at the color palette for today's challenge.  If you notice beneath the color name, it also lists the Copic compatible marker color to make this color challenge even easier for you!

I decided to try one of the cute treat box cards that was featured on Splitcoast Stampers - shown here.  I decided to make mine into a gift card holder as well.  I give a lot of gift cards at Christmas time simply because I don't have a CLUE what to buy family members.  This treat box card will have money to spend as well as chocolate to eat too - who could ask for more!

My cute little snowman is from the JustRite Stampers "Sparky The Snowman" cling set.  He is so much fun to play with!  I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles matted onto Spellbinders Lacey Circles.  I added DecoArt Snow Writer where there was "snow".
I applied Baby Blue Stickles to the snowflakes as well as around the openings for the candy to show through.

The gift card holder was created with Spellbinders Lables 11.  The sentiment also comes from the "Sparky The Snowman" cling set, diecut with Spellbinders Labels 6.

Sparky and Friends

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a cute snowman card to share.  This card was very easy to make because the background paper was already made for me, all I had to do was cut it to the size that I wanted my card to be!!  The background paper is scenic paper from Murdock Country Creations - wonderful paper!!

My snowman family as well as the sentiment is from the new Cling set by JustRite Stampers called "Sparky and Friends".  The new Cling stamps are awesome!!  The snowman family is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics and diecut with Spellbinders Petite Ovals and Petite Scallop Ovals.  The sentiment is stamped directly onto the background paper with Memento Cottage Ivy.

Deepest Sympathy

Happy Friday everyone.  Today is another Friday challenge over at JustRite.  The challenge today is to create a sympathy card.  Sympathy cards are so very difficult to create because they are not for a happy occasion.  Ironically I needed a sympathy card yesterday.  A close family friend passed away last week and yesterday was the funeral.  It was a very nice service for a very nice lady.

For my card I chose a sentiment from the new JustRite Sympathy Nested Sentiments set.  This set is wonderful because it has sentiments that say what needs to be said in a special way.  My sentiment is stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and diecut with Spellbinders Labels Trio.  The decorative element in the upper righthand corner was created with the Spellbinders Symbology 1 die.

Here is a look at the complete "Sympathy Nested Sentiments" set.  Such a great stamp set!!!

Today I decided to make a bookmark using the great tutorial from Splitcoaststampers.  I need some inexpensive Christmas gift ideas for my daughter's school.  The PTO is organizing a "school store" that the kids can do some Christmas shopping for their family members.  The items needed to be inexpensive and not be sold for over $1.00.  The kids love to do their own shopping so I thought this was a great idea.  I have also made some of the tissue box covers that I posted here on my blog.

My sentiment is from the "Just A Note" set, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and Memento Potter's Clay, diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles, and matted with Spellbinders Pinking Circles.  The bottom border was made with the Martha Stewart Daisy border punch with some Kaiser pearls added.  The flower and designer paper is just some that I had laying around.

Below is a list of the great designers that will also be hopping today.  Be sure to check out their awesome projects.

Christmas Tissue Box Cover

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a really cute tissue box cover to share.  I found the instructions at Splitcoaststampers.  They were very easy to follow.  The only thing that I did differently was to make my base out of chipboard and then covered it with designer paper.  I just wanted to have a sturdier cover that will last for a long time.

I used a stamp from the JustRite Christmas Nested Frames set, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Rhubarb Stalk, colored with Copics and then handcut.  Each layer has pop dots between to give more dimension to the cover.

The designer paper is from the K & Company SW Glad Tiding stack.  I also added glitter around the top edges to cover up my seams.  To make the opening for the tissues to come out, I diecut a hole using Spellbinders Labels 13.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great week!

Supplies:

Stamps:  JustRite Stampers - Christmas Nested Frames, Clear Horizontal Stamper

Paper:  K & Co SW Glad Tidings stack
