Beach Babe

Good afternoon everyone.  I found a new challenge site while surfing the internet yesterday.  It is called "Jitterbuggin".  The challenge for this week is called  "Let The Sunshine In".  With all the snow and freezing weather that we have been having in Maine I was more than ready to create a bright summery card.

The challenge was to create a card using the sketch, something yellow, stripes, and a Cricut cartridge.  I love to use my Cricut so I knew that this was a challenge that I really wanted to do.

My beach babe was diecut using the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge with a setting of 4.  The sun was diecut using the Life Is A Beach cartridge also with a setting of 4.

Here is a closer look at my cute little beach babe

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great day!

Make A Wish

Good afternoon everyone.  Welcome back to another great JustRite release day.  Today JustRite is introducing "Birthday Celebrations".  This is a 3 1/4" ribbed stamp set with wide borders.  And guess what?  The center part of these wide borders are interchangeable with your 2" round centers, such as " You Inspire Me" as well as your 1 5/8" centers & border sets.  Now the possibilities are ENDLESS!!

You can never have enough birthday stamps!!  I like to have a variety of birthday cards on hand just in case I forget a birthday - then all I have to do is grab a card really quick and sign it.  I'm thinking this card would be perfect for my grandmother - her favorite color is pink.
The top sentiment and border is from the "Birthday Celebrations" ribbed set.  The center and border are stamped with Memento Rose Bud and Memento Rich Cocoa, diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles and matted onto Spellbinders Petite Scallop Circles.    For the bottom sentiment, I used a frame from the JustRite "You Inspire Me" cling set, stamped with Memento Rose Bud.  Then I stamped the words separately with Memento Rose Bud and diecut with Spellbinders Deckled Edge Ovals.  Yellow Stickles was used for all of the yellow sparkle.

Here is a look at the complete "Birthday Celebrations" set:

JustRite Stampers Release Day!

Good afternoon everyone.  Today is another great day over at JustRite Stampers as they release another awesome stamp set.  This set is called "Birdhouses" and it is 3 1/4" Ribbed.  A perfect size for cards as well as those Springtime scrapbook pages.

I stamped my sentiment using 2 different ink colors - Memento Rich Cocoa and Memento Cottage Ivy.  I like how the two ink colors really make the sentiment pop.  The circles and scallop circles were diecut with Spellbinders.  The lattice border is the Martha Stewart Garden Trellis border punch.  The green corner embellishments are from the JustRite Custom Nested Sentiment Dies.

Here is a look at the complete "Birdhouses" set.  Don't they just make you wish for Spring!!

Be sure to check out some of the other JustRite Design team members for more great projects using this newly released "Birdhouses" ribbed set.

JustRite Friday Challenge _047 "Love Is In The Air"

Good morning everyone.  Here in Maine we are having ANOTHER snowstorm.  School was cancelled today for the second time this week due to snow.  I am sooo ready for summer.  As I am typing this I am thinking of how long it will take me to shovel and snow blow today.  Wednesday it took me over 3 hours!!  Oh well, the pleasures of living in Maine - it could be worse.

Okay, now on to today's project.  The theme for today's challenge is "Love".   Valentine's Day is not too far away so I decided to make a Valentine's Day card for my husband.  I found this great tutorial for a sliding pop-up card on Splitcoast Stampers so I decided to give it a try.  It wasn't too difficult to follow, just need to pay close attention.

This first photo shows the card closed.  I made "myself" using my Cricut Expression along with the Paper Dolls Dress up cartridge.  The hearts are diecut using Spellbinders Classic Hearts and Classic Scallop Hearts.  The sentiment is from the "Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit", stamped with Memento Lady Bug and diecut with the JustRite Custom Nested Sentiment Dies.
This photo shows my card opened up and standing.  I just think this type of card is so adorable!  My sentiment frame on the pull out is from the JustRite Fancy Frames, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut with the JustRite Custom Nested Frame Dies.  The sentiment is from the JustRite "Adorable Dragon - cling" set, stamped with Memento Lady Bug.  I used a R29 Copic marker to color borders within the frame.  The decorative pieces on each side of the frame are made using the same JustRite Custom Nested Sentiment die that I used on the "Happy Valentine's Day" image.

This photo shows a side view of what the pop up looks like.

Some of the other JustRite Designers will also be playing along with this challenge today.  Be sure to check them out.

Amazing

Good morning everyone.  Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge over at CPS.  This looked like a fun sketch to try and I needed an idea for a card so it all works out.
My card uses a few of the new cling sets over at JustRite Stampers - "You Inspire Me" and "Garden Fairy Wishes".  The sentiment is from "You Inspire Me", stamped with Memento Tangelo, diecut with Spellbinders Lacey Squares and then airbrushed with YR04 Copic.
The garden fairy is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics, and then diecut with the new JustRite Custom Nested Frame Dies - the perfect sized rectangle.  The 2 mushrooms on the green paper strip were stamped, colored with copics and then handcut.  I placed them "behind" the iron gate fence created with the Martha Stewart Iron Gate border punch.  The corner embellishment was created with the JustRite Custom Nested Sentiment Dies.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a great day!

JustRite Stampers Release

Good morning everyone.  Today is another great release day over at JustRite Stampers.  They have another cling set called "Kindness" and it even matches Spellbinders Labels 20 - one of the new CHA releases - how cool is that!!

Before I get to my project today I wanted to talk a bit about the new toy that I received from Spellbinders - their new Grand Calibur die cutting machine.  This machine is AWESOME!!  No more having to diecut one shape at a time.  The opening on the Grand Calibur is 8 1/2"!!!  If you notice the little white  lever on the bottom of the machine - this operates a suction mat underneath the machine so you just put the Grand Calibur where you want it on your table, flip this lever, and the machine STAYS still - it doesn't move around the table as you are diecutting (like many of the other machines out there).  The embossing results that this machine does is incredible too.  You can check out Kathy Jones' blog post here - she has some great photos showing the embossing.

The Grand Calibur is a must have for anyone that loves to diecut (and who doesn't right?)  Below is a photo of mine.  You will definitely fall in love with this die cutting machine as fast as I did.
Okay, I guess I will talk about my card now **LOL**

Like I said above, my card uses a brand new cling set called "Kindness".  This set includes 2 great frames as well as great sentiments and decorative elements.  I chose the frame that coordinates with the new Spellbinders Labels 20 which is being released at CHA next week.  I don't happen to have these dies (yet) so I had to handcut the frame as well as the black mat.  The center circle is the perfect size to use some of the JustRite 1 5/8" stamps too - don't forget to mix and match your stamp sets.  I chose a center from the "Birthday Sentiments" set and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles.
My card base was embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder.  The black border is created with Martha Stewart Quilted border punch.

The sentiment on the bottom corner also comes in the "Kindness" cling set.  I matted it onto black cardstock that was diecut with the new JustRite Custom Nested Sentiment Dies and Custom Nested Frame Dies.

Here is a look at the 2 stamp sets used to create this card:

Some of my fellow JustRite Design team members are also showing projects using the "Kindness"  set today.  You can check out their blogs (after 6:00 CST) today for more inspiration.

Kindred Spirits

Good evening everyone.  My post is later today because I am participating in a new release over at JustRite Stampers.  They have another awesome cling set called "Friendship Blooms".  And even better, the frames match the new Spellbinders dies Labels 18 and Blooms 3.  Stamping made easy!!
The larger frame is from the "Friendship Blooms - cling" set and the smaller frame is from the new "Fancy Labels - cling" set - perfect match.  The sentiments, also included in the "Friendship Blooms - cling" set were stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.    The cardstock is from Core'dinations and the floral paper is from Creative Imaginations.  The floral border was created with the Martha Stewart Daisy border punch.

Here is a look at these awesome new Cling sets:

Heartfelt Thanks

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a card to share that uses a brand new stamp set from JustRite called "Fancy Labels".  The frame that I used is a perfect match for the Spellbinders Labels 13!  I stamped the frame with Memento Sweet Plum and diecut it with Spellbinders Labels 13.  The sentiment on the inside of the frame is from the JustRite "The Greatest Joy" set.  Remember that the Cling and Ribbed sets can be used together - giving you even more possibilities!

The cute little flowers on my pink strip are also from the "Fancy Labels" set.  The small sentiment is from the "Fancy Tags" set and diecut with the JustRite Custom Nested Sentiment Dies - a perfect match!!

Mr. & Mrs.

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a wedding/anniversary card to share.  I'm not even really sure why I decided to make this type of card because I don't have any weddings to attend.  Everyone that I know is either already married or has no intentions of getting married.

One of the reasons that I came up with this was because I was trying to think of ways to use the new JustRite Custom Dies.  Yes, the cake is made out of dies - dies are not just for stamped images anymore!  The top layer and the bottom layer are diecut with JustRite Nested Frame Dies #2 & #3.  The middle layer is diecut with JustRite Nested Sentiment Die #3.  Perfect sizes for the perfect wedding cake.  The "icing" was made with the Martha Stewart Double Loops border punch.

The sentiment is also a new JustRite set named "Fancy Tags" and is also diecut with the JustRite Nested Frames die.  This die is the PERFECT match to this stamp!  The little fan embellishments in top corners is also a stamp from the "Fancy Tags" set.

Here is a closeup of the beautiful diecut sentiment
The 3 flowers on the top of the cake were originally white but I airbrushed them with my new Copic Airbrush System using BV02 Copic marker.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping in for a visit.  I hope you have a great day!!

Stamps:  JustRite Stampers - Fancy Tags - cling

Sisters

Good morning everyone.  Today I decided to share a scrapbook page that I did of my 2 daughters.  You may recognize the photo as being the same one as the header on my blog.  I love this photo of my 2 girls, just relaxing together looking out across the lake.

To make the title, I used my Cricut Expression along with the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge with the dial set at 1 1/2".  The sentiment "Best Friends Forever" is from the "Friendship Nested Sentiments" set by JustRite, stamped with Memento Danube Blue and diecut with Spellbinders Labels Trio.  The corner embellishments are diecut with Spellbinders Lattice Pendant and the hearts are diecut with Spellbinders Classic Hearts/Classic Scallop Hearts.

To create my flowers along the bottom of my photo, I used stamps from Heartfelt Creations (HCPC2242) which are compatible with the Spellbinders Blossom 2 dies, which makes it very easy to diecut.  I added some Stickles along the edges of the flowers to give them some sparkle.  Each flower center has a Kaiser pearl added.

The poem that I used was found on the internet and printed from the computer, then I diecut it with Spellbinders Labels 14.  When I found this poem I thought that it fit my girls perfectly.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a great day!

JustRite Friday Challenges are BACK!!!

Good morning everyone.  The new year is here and so are the JustRite Friday Challenges.  Yeah!!!  The challenge today is to create something by scoring it.  This challenge is sponsored by Scor-Pal.  Now before I get to my project I need to tell you about my Scor-Pal story.  When I first heard about Scor-Pal a few years ago I knew that I HAD TO HAVE ONE!!  It was one of those things that you need to have it no matter what.  Well I live in a small town and right around this time all of my local scrapbooking stores were closing.  Every year I also attend the Creating Keepsakes Convention in Manchester, NH with my sister in law.  We thought for sure we could get one of these there but apparently everyone else wanted one too.  We went to every scrapbook store within a 50 mile radius of Manchester - nothing!!  We were really getting upset that we were going to be going home without our Scor-Pal.  Then we ran into a friend of ours at the convention and she had just gotten a Scor-Pal.  When we asked where she got it, she said that there was a tiny scrapbook store less than a mile from the convention center!!  We immediately got into my car and sped to the store.  We got the last 2!!!  Our trip was now complete - we got what we really wanted.  And I have used my Scor-Pal ever since - I LOVE IT!!!

Sorry to be so long winded but I felt the need to let everyone know how much I really like my Scor-Pal.

Okay - now my project

I decided to make a Candy Bar card - I found the instructions on the Scor-Pal website here.  They have a lot of very cool project ideas.  Be sure to go check it out.

I am using several of the newly released JustRite stamp sets.  The 2 panels on the outside and the large panel in the middle are all from the "Fancy Frames - Cling" set, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Lady Bug and diecut with the new JustRite Custom Nested Frame Dies.  The sentiment is from the "Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit", stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Oval.  I used a R27 Copic marker to color the red areas.

Here is a look at the inside of my card:

The top photo shows the inside view of the candy bar prior to covering it.  The sentiment is from the JustRite "Ellie Time - Cling" set, stamped with Memento Lady Bug, and diecut with the JustRite Custom Nested Frame Dies.  This die set is awesome because they thought of everything - including making a mat die to go beneath the decorative ends.  I diecut these in red to help pop it off the black cardstock.

The photo below shows what it looks like after I covered the candy bar.

And here are the complete sets that I used to create my project:

Some of my fellow JustRite designers are also playing along today.  Be sure to check out their awesome Scor-Pal projects.

Spring Birthday

Good morning everyone.  Now that the holidays are over I'm hoping to get back to a regular schedule.  Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge over at CPS.  I have a lot of fun using sketches to create with - takes a lot of the work out of the creative process.

My card today is using 2 of the newly released stamp sets by JustRite - Mother Nature's Gifts and Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit.  The flower center uses the Mother Nature's Gifts set,  stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves and diecut with Spellbinders Petite Scallop Circles.  I created the flower with Spellbinders Sunflower Sets 1 & 2.  The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves.   This tag kit comes complete with the sentiments as well as the clear stamper and dies.  A complete kit!!!

Here is a look at the complete stamp sets used to create my card.

Be sure to check in tomorrow.  I will have another card using another newly released JustRite stamp set!!

Thank You

Good morning everyone!!  I hope everyone survived New Year's Day.  We stayed up to ring in the New Year but then I was sound asleep within 5 minutes.  I'm not a night owl at all.

Today I have a card using a brand new release from JustRite Stampers named " Fancy Frames".  This set is a cling set that begins shipping today.  This cling set is designed to work perfectly with the new JustRite Custom Nested Frame Dies.

The great thing about this particular stamp is the ability to cut and piece several parts of it.  I stamped the image several times using Memento Lilac Posies and Memento Angel Pink then handcut each section out.  The sentiment was stamped onto green cardstock and then pop dotted into the center.

Here is a look at the complete cling stamp set:
