CPS Sketch challenge

Here is a look at the sketch

Good Morning everyone. Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge over at CPS which is being sponsored by JustRite Stampers. This sketch was a real "challenge" because of the sides.

Then I happened to look at my Martha Stewart border punches and picked up the Doily Lace punch. I punched out a square and was trying to use it somehow, then I cut it in half and that was when the lightbulb went off in my head!! It was the perfect shape for this sketch. Then all I did was punch out 2 more smaller layers.

For my sentiment, I chose the designer center and border from the Wedding Ensemble by JustRite Stampers. I stamped each separately. The center was diecut using Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities and the border was diecut using Spellbinders Labels 6 and then I added some chalk around the edges to dress it up a bit. To finish it off, I added Kaiser pearls and some blue Stickles.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Valentine Love Challenge

Good Morning everyone. Today I am playing along with the weekly challenge at JustRite Inspiration. The challenge is called "Valentine Love". I decided to make this cute little gift box. I saw a great tutorial for this box here. It was very easy to do and I think it came out really nice.

I think I will be giving this box to my husband for Valentine's Day. I decided to use the designer center from the "Romantic Sentiments" set and the border from the "Round Decorative Frame Borders" set - all from JustRite Stampers.

The box is made using the Spellbinders Classic Hearts & Scallop Hearts Nestabilities. The white heart was embossed using the Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder.
This box size is the perfect size for some chocolate or, in my case, some of the candy hearts that have cute little sayings on them.

Below are photos of the different stamp sets that I used in this project. These stamps are great because they are interchangeable so you can mix and match different sentiments with different borders. Makes a few stamp sets go a long way.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in for a visit. Have a wonderful weekend.

Supplies:

Paper: Worldwin

Ink: Memories Cherry Red

Accessories: Spellbinders Classic Hearts & Scallop Hearts Nestabilities, Spellbinders Classic Circles & Scallop Circles Nestabilities, Sweet Petites polka dot ribbon, Cuttlebug Textile embossing folder

You Are My Reason

Good morning everyone. It is FRIDAY!!! The weather here in Maine is COLD!!!! The wind blew so hard during the night that I thought we were going to lose the power but luckily we didn't. I guess I will stay inside today and keep the woodstove burning.

I am playing along with Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Friday challenge today which was to use the color RED and HEARTS in our project. I made this card for my husband for Valentine's Day. Because it was for him, I wanted to keep it very simple and not too girly. I think I accomplished that.
My sentiment comes from the Autumn Leaves Ticketed stamp set. These are so cute. I matted it onto the "Fancy Tags" diecut from Spellbinders.
That's it for today. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and weekend. Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.

Pamper Yourself

Good afternoon everyone. Today I am playing along with the sketch challenge at CPS. You can check it out here.

I have seen these cute little purses made with the SU tab punch all over blogland. They are so adorable and easy to make. And these purses are the perfect match for the purse stamp in the "Girl Time" stamp set from JustRite Stampers. I chose the 15 point Times Roman Font set to spell out my sentiment around the outer edge of the small oval stamper.

Once I had my sentiment, I knew that I wanted to use the Purse center but it was meant for the 2" circle stamper. The space on my card was not large enough to accommodate the 2" circle so I trimmed it down and it fit perfectly into the small oval stamper.

This photo shows the backside of the oval stamper with my trimmed designer center.

That's it for today. It is beginning to snow AGAIN here in Maine. Guess I will get ready to shovel/snowblow. Is it Spring yet!!!!
Have a wonderful day.

In a Pinch

Good Morning everyone. Today I am playing along with the "JUGS" challenge which is to use one of Lauren Meader's wonderful templates. The only hard part of this challenge was trying to decide which one of her amazing templates to use. Her creativity is just amazing!!! Check out the challenge here and play along. And now her templates are compatible with my Cricut!! How cool is that!!! All you need is the SCAL program, download the template, and cut it with the Cricut. So easy!!!
I decided to use the "In A Pinch" template. This cute little box is the perfect gift size. It is perfect for some yummy chocolate or even a gift card to your favorite stores.

Once I got the box assembled, I needed to decide how to decorate and embellish it. I chose paper from the My Minds Eye Playful Posies Stack. I really like the colors in this paper. It might also be because my favorite color is blue.
For my tag, I chose the designer center from the Romantic Sentiments set and the Round Decorative Frames Borders by JustRite Stampers. It is stamped onto cream cardstock using Versamagic Night Sky and diecut using the Spellbinders Classic Circles & Petite Scallop Circle Nestabilities. To dress it up a bit, I added Kaiser pearls.

To finish it off, I added some matching polka dot ribbon, Prima Flower and 2 branches. Very cute box and a perfect presentation for the perfect gift.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. Have a wonderful day!!

Paper: My Minds Eye Playful Posies Stack, DCWV cardstock

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday Morning everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We were surprised on Saturday when my oldest daughter showed up at home. We didn't know that she was coming home from college for the weekend. Luckily I was still able to create a card for today's challenge at 2Sketches4You that is being sponsored by JustRite Stampers. For those of you who don't know, my daughter and I "share" her bedroom - my stamping studio when she is not home and her bedroom when she comes home. So while she is home, I need to pack away all of my toys and let her have some place to sleep.

Today's card was made for my mother-in-law for her birthday. When I saw this paper, I immediately thought of her because these are "her" colors. The design on the paper is also very "her".

I chose to design my own sentiment using the 2" wood stamper along with the 15 point font. This font size fits perfectly into the 2" wood stamper. I love to create my own sentiments and make my cards personal.

Also great about these JustRite Stamps is the ability to interchange different stamp sets. For example, I used the flower vase designer center from the Favorite Occasions set - which happens to be a round center. It fits perfectly into the square stamper. The possiblities are endless with these stamp sets.

My sentiment and mats are diecut using the Spellbinders Classic Square Nestabilities. Another perfect match for the 2" wood stamper.

This is a view of the back of my 2" wood stamper.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

One Wonderful Life

Good morning everyone. Today I have another card following another sketch. I guess you can say that I love to use sketches. It takes a lot of the guess work out of creating. Today's sketch comes from Splitcoaststampers.

My design paper comes from the DCWV Berry Street Farmers Market stack. It has cute little flowers and tiny strawberries on it. Really dainty looking.
For my centerpiece, I used several layers of Spellbinders Scallop Circle Nestabilities stacked together with popdots between each layers. My stamped sentiment comes from the Romantic Sentiments Borders & Centers set by JustRite Stampers. My border comes from the Round Decorative Frames Borders also by JustRite Stampers.
The photo below shows the dimension of my centerpiece. It really pops up off of my card.

Plant Smiles

Good morning everyone. Today I have a bright and cheery card to share. I used the weekly sketch from Splitcoaststampers. This card makes me really long for Spring. Here in Maine we have been getting snow for the past few days. I really would like to see green grass out my window instead of white snow. It will be here soon.

My card base measures 5" x 6" using Goldenrod cardstock from Worldwin. The designer paper is from the DCWV Sorbet Stack. I love the color combinations in this paper. Very bright!! I added the cream border using the Martha Stewart Arch Lattice border punch.

I stamped the fence using Memento Rich Cocoa, colored my fence/flowers with Copic and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals & Scallop Ovals Nestabilities.

My sentiment comes from the Seeds Of Kindness set just released by JustRite Stampers. I stamped this also using the Memento Rich Cocoa and diecut using the Spellbinders Classic Ovals & Scallop Ovals Nestabilities.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

Spring Watering Can

Welcome to the JustRite Garden Tour Blog Hop!! You are going to be blown away by the inspirational projects you are going to see. These new stamp sets from JustRite are very cool!!! Just when you think that they couldn't do any better, they come out with sets like these.

For my project I made this adorable watering can. I got the template on Splitcoast stampers here: It was very easy to assemble. I added a border along the top edge using the Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace border punch.

I decided to use the Plant A Little Love Borders and Centers set. When I was trying to decide on a project I knew that I wanted to make some sort of flowers. That was when I decided that these borders and centers would be perfect for a flower center.

I stamped each center onto ivory cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa and the borders were stamped onto yellow cardstock using the Memento Rich Cocoa. Then I diecut them using the Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities.

To make my flowers, I followed the instructions shown here on Splitcoaststampers. Once the flowers were made, I adhered them to a wooden skewer that I colored with a green Copic marker. Next, I sprayed the flower with V2 vellum spray and sprinkled ultrafine glitter on each one. The leaves were made using my Cricut Expression along with the Plantin' Schoolbook cartridge. Each leaf was embossed using the Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls embossing folder.

This is a look of the complete stamp set. I know that I will be using these stamps for my Spring scrapbook pages.

Be sure to check out the JustRite Design Team blogs for some incredible projects using these new stamp sets.

Valentine's Day Teacher Treats

Happy Friday everyone. The weekend is almost here. Today the JustRite Design team has been challenged to pull out their font sets and be creative. I love to use the Font Ensembles because I can personalize anything that I want to and I am not limited to specific sentiments.

For todays project, I made this cute little "milk carton" container for my daughter Emily's teacher for Valentine's Day. I found the instructions for the milk carton here on Splitcoast. The instructions were very easy to follow. For the holder, I just "winged" it with a lot of measuring.

I knew that I wanted to personalize it for Miss Thurston so all I needed to do was take the 15 point font set(JustRite) and load it onto the outer rim of my 2" wood stamper making sure to center the sentiment. For the inside sentiment I chose the "Teacher Treats" center from the What's Cookin' Borders & Centers set.

After I made the milk cartons, I needed to decide how I was going to embellish them. Around the top of the milk cartons and the box, I used the Martha Stewart Lace Heart border punch. On the milk cartons I also added polka dot ribbon.

I just happened to have a box of conversation hearts candy sitting on my table and that's when the lightbulb came on!!! I was going to use my Curlz Font Ensemble to create my own conversation hearts on each side of the milk cartons.

Now how cute are these!!!! I am sure that Miss Thurston is going to love these. I love personalizing gifts.
Now be sure to stop over at the JustRite blog and see what other creative ideas you can find.
Check out these cute font projects:
And also, don't forget to check out the JustRite blog on Monday where the design team will be having a "Botantical Blog Hop" featuring all of the new sets that were previewed this past week. I am sure that we will all be "wowed" with their creations.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. Have a wonderful weekend!!
