Let It Snow (not really :)

I really like to make winter cards & projects. One might think that I like winter however that would be incorrect. I think that I was meant to live in a warm climate all year long. However here in Maine we get lots and lots and lots of snow. Snow is pretty when it is falling but when it hits the ground it just means work for me (shoveling, shoveling, & more shoveling).

Okay that's enough of my complaining about snow. Now on to today's card.

I really like the blue and white color combination for winter/Christmas projects. That must be the reason that my Christmas tree always has blue twinkle lights with white garland.

My focal image is from the Christmas Treasures Borders & Centers set by JustRite Stampers. This cardinal is just so cute perched on its birdhouse trying to stay warm in the cold winter months. The image is stamped onto Neenah white cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and colored using Copic markers. I diecut it using Spellbinders Classic Circles and matted it on 2 layers of Spellbinders Scallop Circle Nestabilities mats.

To get the snow effect, I punched a white strip of paper using the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch and added crystal Stickles.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.
