Memories Box

Good morning everyone.  Today I have an adorable box that I created.  I first saw a box similar to this on Selma's Stamping Corner.  As soon as I saw her box, I knew that I had to make my own.  She doesn't have a tutorial on how to make this but it can be done by looking at her blogpost.  I decided to make mine as a little "Memories" box.  The perfect senitment for this can be found in the "Cherish The Memories" stamp set by JustRite Stampers.  The border is from the "Baroque Nested Frames" set.  I added several layers along with some white mini rosettes.  Along the top edge and bottom edge I added a strip using the Martha Stewart Quilted Border Punch.  Then I added some white Kaiser pearls which I colored yellow with my Copic marker.

Each side has 2 drawer that open.  I'm thinking that these little drawers will be used for little treasures.  The drawer fronts were embossed using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

I wanted to dress up each of the sides of my box.  That was when I decided to think of different words that could go along with my Memories theme.  That's when my JustRite font comes to my rescue.  I used the Times Roman 25 point font (JustRite) to create my words.  Each word is diecut with the Spellbinders Labels 4 and edged with a Copic marker.

Below is a look at all of the sides.

JUGS weekly challenge

Good morning everyone!!  Today I am playing along with the weekly challenge over at JUGS.  The challenge is called "Apron Template Challenge".  I just happened to have the GrandeMARK Roller Die Cutting System  with the A7 Apron Invite (3-D) Crease Jumbo so this was fairly easy for me to do.

I decided to make a father's day card.  I think all men love to grill outside - at least all men in my family do.  I chose a "Happy Father's Day" border and center from the "Favorite Occasions" set by JustRite.  I stamped it using Memento Rich Cocoa, colored with Copics, and diecut with Spellbinders Pinking Circles.
For the pocket portion of my card I chose a border from the "Victorian Nested Frames" set (JustRite) and a sentiment from the "Cherish The Memories Nested Sentiments" set (JustRite).  I stamped this with Memento Rich Cocoa and edged with Copic Markers Y17 & Y0000.  This sentiment seemed perfect for a Father's Day card because any time spent with family is "A Moment To Treasure".

To finish off the card, I added ribbon and buttons.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a great day.

JustRite Challenge - Red, White, and Blue

Good morning everyone! I actually have a project to share with you this morning.  I am still very busy loading the JustRite gallery.  This gallery is FILLED with some amazing projects.  Be sure to check it out here.  Since I am still loading the gallery be sure to check it often to see new entries.

Today I am playing along with the JustRite Friday challenge which happened to be  a sketch challenge along with a color challenge.  The color challenge was to use red, white, and blue in honor of the Fourth of July which is coming right up.  I'm thinking that I am going to use my "card" as a title for a scrapbook page.

To create my sentiment, I chose the 15 point Times Roman Font.  It is stamped with Memento Lady Bug.  The first border is from the "Calendar" stamp set, stamped with Memento Danube Blue.  The next border is from the "Breath Of Spring" set, stamped with Memento Lady Bug.  Each layer is diecut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals and Classic Scallop Ovals.

The stars were created using the Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder, then I added Crystal Stickles to the depressed section of the stars.  Below my sentiment I used the Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes embossing folder.

Be sure to give the JustRite weekly challenges a try.  You could be the winner of a JustRite Gift Certificate.  Also be sure to order your copy of the brand new JustRite Catalog.  This catalog is plum full of inspiration.  The entire design team created lots and lots of projects using all of the great stamp sets.  You can order your copy by clicking here.

JustRite Bookmark - Challenge 023

Good morning everyone.  Summer is finally here!!!  School vacation starts today.  We are going to pick strawberries either Wednesday or Thursday.  That is one of my favorite things to do in the summer.  My daughter eats more than she picks!!!

Today I had a chance to play along with the JustRite challenge called "Bookmark It" - to create a bookmark.  I have always liked to make these extra large paperclip bookmarks.  When I received this "Kaleidoscope" stamp set from JustRite, I knew that it had to be used for one of these bookmarks.  It is a perfect set for these.
I have only had time to make 1 but I know that I will be making many more.  I stamped the image and colored it with my Copics.  Then I diecut the image with Spellbinders Classic Circles and the mats with Spellbinders Classic Scallop Circles.
To dress it up a bit, I added some purple and orange Stickles.  These would make perfect little teacher gifts or to keep in your gift drawer for those "unexpected" events that you need a quick gift for.  They are fast and easy to make.  I think the next ones that I make will be using the Applique stamp set - it is a square so I think it would make a great set.

Here is a look at these stamp sets:

Gramp

Good morning everyone.  Today I actually have a scrapbook page to share with you.  It seems like forever since I have done a scrapbook page.  Hopefully I will start doing more and more - especially since JustRite has come out with some awesome stamp sets perfect for scrapbooking!!

This page was done in memory of my grandfather who passed away in May of 2006.  It doesn't seem like it has been that long since he has been gone.  This photo was taken of him at Christmas, 2005 just before he got really sick.

The sentiment that I chose is perfect for my page.  I will always cherish the memories that I have of my grandfather.

The sentiment comes from the newly released set called "Cherish The Memories" and the border comes from the newly released set called "Baroque Nested Frames".  These sets are so perfect for any type of scrapbook page as well as all occasion cards.  The sentiment as well as the mat was diecut using the Spellbinders Labels 4 dies.

Here is a look at the stamp sets:

I created the checkered look by punching 1" squares of Murdock Country Creations polished stone paper and creating a pattern around my page.  The border on each side was created using the Martha Stewart Modern Garland border punch.

The Hand Of A Friend

Good morning everyone!!!  Yes, I am still here.  I am still working behind the scenes loading the new JustRite gallery.  There are some amazing projects made using these stamps.  Hopefully things will be getting back to normal soon and I can get back to posting on a daily basis.  But for now I have a card to share with you today.  I am playing along with the Thursday Challenge over at "The Treehouse".  The challenge is to create a project using the colors black, red, and white.

I love this color combination!  They are such "popping" colors.  My sentiment is from the Boxes Wishes set by Inkadinkado.  It is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and diecut using Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles.  I added the Spellbinders Fancy Tags onto the back side and applied red Kaiser Pearls.

The red borders were created using the Martha Stewart Modern Garland border punch.  To dress it up a bit, I applied black Kaiser pearls to each opening.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today and thanks for continuing to check out my blog even though I have not been posting consistently.  I really appreciate it.

Have a wonderful day!!

Happy 13th Anniversary Mike!!!

Good morning everyone.  Today is a special day for me.  On this day 13 years ago, I married my wonderful husband Mike.  Wow - does time fly by!!!  I remember that day just like it was yesterday.

So for this special day, I have created a special card for my special husband.

My top sentiment is from the Romantic Sentiments set by JustRite, diecut with Spellbinders Classic Hearts.  The "Happy Anniversary" is from the Celebrations Demi Phrases set, also by JustRite.  All I did was load the demi phrase onto my horizontal stamper to make it straight across instead of circular.  It is diecut with Spellbinders Labels Trio.

The red layer is embossed using Cuttlebug Heart Blocks embossing folder.  The white layer is embossed using Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

That's it for today.  Now I need to decide what I am going to cook for our anniversary dinner.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Supplies:

Paper:  Worldwin

Ink:  Memento Lady Bug

Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Hearts & Classic Scallop Hearts Nestabilities, Labels Trio, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots & Heart Blocks embossing folders, Martha Stewart Lace Heart border punch

Aurora

Good morning everyone.  Sorry I have been MIA lately.  I have been soooo busy behind the scenes working on loading the new JustRite Stampers Designers Gallery.  This will be your one stop inspiration gallery where you will be able to see all of the JustRite Designers (past & present) projects.  So I will probably not be posting on my blog daily but hopefully I will be back on schedule soon.  Thanks to everyone who have kept coming back checking in on me.

I do have a project to share with you today.  My cousin asked me to make a Name Frame for her little baby.  I had made one for her other daugher Amelia, who just turned 2, so she wanted one for Aurora (nicknamed Rory).
My frame size is 9 x 18.  To make the letters in her name, I used my Cricut Expression along with the Base Camp cartridge.  The letters were cut at size 4 along with the matching shadow.  Each letter is embossed using the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  To make the pink borders above and below the name I used the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Trim border punch.  I added Lime Green Stickles to each flower center.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great day!
