Valentine Mailbox

Good Morning everyone. Today I have a cute Valentine's Day project to share with you. These cute little mailboxes can be found at Target and they are only $1.00!! That's a pretty reasonable price to pay for something that starts out plain looking like this -

to looking like this:

I covered my mailbox with Basic Grey paper and added tan ribbon along the ends of the mailbox.

Now when I need to decorate the mailbox, I pulled out my JustRite Stamps (of course!!). I had already decided that I was going to make this mailbox for Emily to take to her class Valentine's Day party to put her Valentine's in. So my first step was to personalize it for her.

I pulled out my Curlz Font ensemble and loaded my rectangular stamper with the 95 point font to spell out Emily's name. Then I cut & matted it onto tan cardstock. To dress up the flag pole, I added a pink Prima flower with some Kaiser rhinestones applied to it.

For the top of the flagpole, I used the designer center from the Tiny Words set (by JustRite). I thought this center was perfect for the flag because I was "sending hugs" to Emily. I diecut the image as well as the mat using the Spellbinders Curved Rectangles Nestabilities.

My next step was to decorate the front of the mailbox. It looked way too plain! Of course, I went through my JustRite Stamps to see what I had that would go with my Valentine's Day theme. The image that I chose came from the Favorite Occasions Centers & Borders set. Isn't that floral heart sooo cute?? I stamped the image using Memento Rich Cocoa and colored it using markers. I diecut the image and mat using the Spellbinders Pinking Circles Nestabilities.

I think my little mailbox is adorable!! What do you think?? I would love to hear some comments from you. Comments let me know that people are actually reading my blog. I would also love to hear some suggestions of what you might like to see on my blog. I am always willing to try something new.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. Please be sure to stop in tomorrow for more sneak peaks at some new JustRite Stampers releases.
