Back To School

Good morning everyone.   Today I am playing along with the Friday challenge over at JustRite.  The challenge is called Back To School - Meet The Teacher and is being sponsored by Spellbinders.

I decided to create an ensemble for my daughter's teacher.  Emily is going into 5th grade this year.  I cannot believe that she is already in 5th grade!!  Where is the time going.  Her teacher this year is Mrs. Richard.  I don't know much about this teacher because she was not there when my oldest daughter was in 5th grade.  I'm not sure what her likes or colors are so I just guessed.

The ensemble included a mini clipboard, a post-it note holder, and a paperclip.

The mini clipboard was purchased in a dollar bin at either AC Moore or Michaels.  I covered it with designer paper and some ribbon.  To personalize it, I pulled out my JustRite Times Roman Uppercase & Lowercase font.  I love to personalize gifts - I believe that it makes the receiver appreciate the extra time that was spent on the gift.  Once I stamped her name, I diecut it with Spellbinders Labels Trio.

Next I created a little post-it note holder using a clear 4 x 6 frame.  I've seen these all over blogland - a very popular gift idea.  I used the same designer paper and ribbon.  I chose a border and center from the "Breath Of Spring" stamp set, colored it with Copics and diecut with Spellbinders Labels 11.  I like the frame that this die gives to my oval.  To finish off the flowers I added orange Stickles to the flower centers.

The last piece of my ensemble is an oversized paperclip.  To personalize this I chose the letter "R"  and border from the "Damask Kit".  This was diecut with Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circles and Classic Scallop Circles.  Next I chose a border from the "2" Round Decorative Borders" set.  Then it was diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles matted onto a scallop circle.  To finish it off, I added yellow Stickles and some yellow ribbon.

Just a reminder - Memento Ink can now be purchased from the JustRite website - one stop shopping at its best!!

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great weekend!!
