Tealight flowers

Good Morning everyone. It is finally Friday. And it is only 3 WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! I can't believe it. I don't even have my shopping done yet. Maybe I can finish up this weekend. (One can only hope, right)

For today's project I decided to take something plain and simple such as these Tealights -

and turn them into an amazing gift that can be used to say Thank You, Get Well Soon, Thinking of You, or Just Because. We all need little gifts on hand for a "Just In Case" and these are very simple and fast to make.

All you need is a tealight, lollipop stick, little clear bag and your imagination. The tealights that I purchased at Walmart came in a package of 16 for only $2.00. They are the ones that are in the metal holders so I decided to cover it up by wrapping polished stone paper (from Murdock Country Creations) around them. Next hot glue the lollipop stick to the back of the candle (hot glue was the only thing that I found that would hold it securely). Now came the fun part - creating the "flower".

To make the flower, I used the Spellbinders Dahlia & Blossom Nestabilities. For extra "pop" I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder on all of the yellow centers. For my tags I chose centers from the "Just A Note Centers & Borders" stamp set by JustRite Stampers. Next I diecut the sentiment and mat using the Spellbinders Labels Six.

It's four months later and I'm just now seeing this idea. It's still a great idea, and I sure wish I had seen it sooner! Thanks for sharing the how-tos.
