2Sketches4You #33

Today I am playing along with the 2Sketches4You sketch. It was ,however, difficult making a snowman card when the weather outside right now is 90 degrees!!! I am very much a summer girl, I don't really care for snow - I just tolerate it.

To begin my card, I made the base 6" wide x 4 1/2" tall. Next I added a blue mat as well as a white mat.

The next layer was cut using my Cricut Expression with the Base Camp cartridge. This layer was embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder. I then cut a piece of white cardstock, embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, and adhered it to the top of the blue snowflakes.

Once I adhered the top blue mat, I then took a snowflake stamp from Rubberstamp Tapestry and stamped snowflakes along the edges using Versamagic Aegean Blue ink and added Kaiser rhinestones to each center.

My stamped image is the new Old Fashioned Christmas Borders & Centers set from JustRite Stampers. I chose to use just the designer center however the set comes with wonderful borders as well. I colored my image with Copic Markers. The image was diecut using Spellbinders Classic Ovals and the mats were diecut using the Spellbinders Classic Scallop Ovals. Each layer has pop dots in between to give lots of dimension.

My sentiment "Warm Winter Wishes" was stamped using the 15 Point Times New Roman font from JustRite Stampers.

There you have it - a snowman card in August. And now I am taking my daughter and niece to the beach/ocean for the day. Quite a contrast!!!

Enjoy you day and thanks for stopping in.
