The challenge is to create a project with a Spring or Birthday theme. To make a Spring or Birthday card AND your own envelope (tutorials can be found at the Scor-Pal site) OR Spring/Birthday gift with fun packaging (somehow using scoring). I decided to create a birthday gift box. I used the tutorial that I found on the Scor-Pal site and made a few adjustments.
I started with a box base using Raspberry Stripes polished stone paper from Murdock Country Creations. I added the gold embellishments on the bottom corners using the Spellbinders Lattice Pendant die. For the cover I used a solid pink cardstock and added a dark pink stripe embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. I also added a gold scallop border around the bottom edge of the cover.
Birthday Sentiments set, stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa and diecut with Spellbinders. The stamped border is from the JustRite You're So Sweet set, stamped with Memento Rosebud. The mats were diecut with Spellbinders Lacey Circles and Classic Scallop Circles. To finish it off, I added tiny rosettes.
Here is a look at the 2 stamp sets that I used to create my birthday box:
