Halloween Treat Bags

Good morning everyone.  Today is another day of introductions at JustRite.  Today they are introducing their new font called "Myriad Pro 50 point font".  JustRite has reconfigured their font sets to include uppercase & lowercase in one set.  I really like this new configuration because I think it makes the projects look neater and more realistic with the lowercase included.

My project today is a pair of Halloween Treat Bags.  I know you are all saying "HALLOWEEN" already, it's only August.  I was just in the mood for creating something for Halloween.  At my house, I don't get any trick-or-treaters.  I think it is because my driveway is very long and you can't see my house from the main road.  The only "kids" that I do get are my 2 nieces.  That's why I decided to make them each a personalized treat bag.

Each treat bag was cut using my Cricut Expression along with the Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge set at 5 3/4".  Each of their names is spelled out using the new Myriad Pro 50 point font, diecut with the Spellbinders Fancy Tags, and edged with a Copic marker.

For Ashley's treat bag, I used the Martha Stewart Spiderweb border punch, embossed with clear embossing powder to make it shinier.  Next I added a cute bow topped with a "Boo" center from the "Witch Way To The Treats" set (Memento Tuxedo Black), also embossed with clear embossing powder.  This was diecut with the Spellbinders Classic Inverted Scallop Circles which I thought looked so much like a spider web that it fit the theme perfectly.

For Kassidy's treat bag, I used the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo border punch and also embossed it with clear embossing powder to make it look "bloody".  The bottom of the bag was created using the Martha Stewart Iron Gate border punch.  My "tombstones" were created using the Spellbinders Labels 11.  The  Labels 11 looked so much like a tombstone that I just couldn't resist.  To add the R I P to the tombstones I used the Times Roman 25 point font mounted onto the awesome Clear Horizontal Stamper.  I love these new clear stampers!!  For the tag on the handle, I chose a center and border from the Witch Way To The Treats stamp set (Memento Grape Jelly), diecut with the Spellbinders Classic Inverted Scallop Circles.

I am very pleased with the way these cute little treat bags turned out.  I think now I will have to make some for my OWN kids.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  Have a great day!!

These are SO CUTE! I really like your colors and the playfulness. I can tell that you really enjoyed creating these. The "Witch Way to the Treats" is one of my favorite sets. Myriad looks like it will be fun to work with too.
