Good morning everyone. Today I have a "two-fer" card. My card is based on 2 different challenges.
The first challenge is over at JustRite Inspiration. Here is the challenge:
Sewing on papercrafting projects is a big trend right now so for this week's challenge, we want see how sewing can make your projects Sew Right! Make any kind of project with a sewing theme or using machine, hand or faux stitching on your project, along with any of your JustRite stamps. You could also use fabric, buttons, felt, quilting, embroidery thread, etc.
And this is what you could win for playing along:
You will have until next Thursday, April 15th at 9am Central to make your project and enter a link to it in Mr. Linky below. Then the winner will be chosen and announced a little later that day here on the JustRite Inspiration Blog. By entering our challenges, you grant JustRite Stampers permission to use your artwork here on our blog as well as any possible advertising.
This week's prize packages are:
•Winner: $50 JustRite Gift Certificate
•Honorable Mentions: $15 JustRite Gift Certificate
How cool would that be!!! Give it a try.
The second challenge is a sketch challenge over at Lord Have Mercy! Here is a look at the sketch:
Here are the card details:
My focal point is a stamp from the "Stitched With Love" borders & centers set by JustRite Stampers. It is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Bamboo Leaves, colored with Copic Markers, and diecut using Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities. I also used the Spellbinders Fancy Tags die for the "scroll" under my mats.
Thanks to the challenge at JustRite, I finally pulled out my sewing machine and stitched on my card. I love the look of stitching on cards but never seem to remember to do it. I stitched around each piece of my paper which looks like it has stitching already on it. This paper came from the DCWV The Linen Closet stack.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit today. Have a wonderful day!
