For my "Last Minute Gift Idea" I decided to make some Gifts In A Jar. These would be perfect to have on hand for that "unexpected" guest that happens to show up and you need a "quick" gift. These are very easy to make and chances are you already have everything right in your kitchen.
My jars contain mixes for Molasses cookies, Snickerdoodles, and Oatmeal Cookies. I typed the recipes on my computer, cut them 5 1/4" x 4", and then matted them onto corresponding colored cardstock.

For each top, I cut a piece of fabric and tied it to the neck of the jar using ribbon.
I used the "Something Sweet Borders & Centers" set from JustRite Stampers and diecut them using the Spellbinders Classic Circle Nestabilities. The top of the jar deserves to be decorated too **LOL**
I stamped the label in the upper left corner using the "Recipe Borders & Centers" set from JustRite Stampers. These stamps are perfect for personalizing recipe cards. On this recipe card, I also stamped an oven mitt center image from the "What's Cookin' Borders and Centers" set.

These gift jars are great for using up scraps of fabric. The fabric circle diameter is 8".

Again, I used the Recipe Borders & Centers to decorate the upper left corner. On this recipe card, I chose the "Secret Family Recipe" center from the "What's Cookin' Borders & Centers" set to decorate the upper right corner.

I think Snickerdoodles are probably the FAVORITE of all of my family members. When I make these, I can't keep my 9 year old daughter away from the cookie dough!! If I let her, she would eat all of the dough and not have enough to actually bake.

Be sure to check out the other design team members. I'm sure that you will be able to find something very nice and inexpensive to make for family and friends.
