JustRite Papercraft August Release Day 3

Good morning everyone.  I have another card today using more of Becca Feeken's gorgeous dies as well as a stamp set that she designed.  The dies are called Filigree Corners and the stamp set is Looking For A Sign.

My card base was created by using a gorgeous die from Spellbinders named 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops.  I then cut a piece of designer paper to mat the inside of the Spellbinders die.

Next I used the Filigree Corner die to create 2 green corner pieces for my card.  This die is so perfect for almost any project.  I'm sure that I will be using it on some future scrapbook pages.

I then chose a pretty sentiment from Looking For A Sign along with the nice frame stamp also in this set.  I stamped these onto a piece of white cardstock that I had already stamped with Elegant Fronds Background. I thought that it looked much better than a plain piece of white cardstock.

Here is a look at both items that I used to create this pretty card

JustRite August release Day 1

Good morning everyone.  Today is the first day of the JustRite August release.  Today's release is actually a beautiful die designed by Becca Feeken called "Lacey Tiers".

I used the Lacey Tiers die to create a Christmas ornament.  I created this ornament by accident.  As I was trying to figure out what I was going to create with the Lacey Tiers die I was playing with the diecut in my hands.  Just then it hit me - I folded 2 of the corners together and got 2 of the ornament points.  I diecut 4 of the Lacey Tiers, folded each one and adhered the centers together.

For the inside of the ornament I chose a sentiment from Christmas Inner Thoughts, diecut with Spellbinders Scallop Labels One.  The beautiful bow was made using ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Here are the other JustRite designers also showing projects today using Lacey Tiers dies.

Wedding Shadow Box

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a photo shadow box that I created using a canvas mat that I purchased at AC Moore.  All I did was turn it over and use the back side instead of the  canvas side.  This is a photo of my daughter on her wedding day last September.

To prep the 8 x 10 canvas, I applied 2 layers of Gesso to the inside portion of the canvas, allowing each layer to dry completely before applying the next layer.  This helps to stiffen the canvas. Next I painted the wooden area of the canvas frame with black paint.  Allow to dry completely.  I covered the staples on the canvas with some extra pieces of canvas along the outer edges.     To create the background, I tore several pieces of colored tissue paper, placing them randomly onto the canvas and then apply decoupage finish over each piece.  Wait for this to dry completely before going onto next step.

While I waited for everything to dry, I diecut all of my pieces - Grand Decorative Ovals One (photo mat), Nested Lacey Pennants ( banner),  Bitty Blossoms, Petite Ovals Large (photo)

Once dried I placed the  matted photo onto canvas.  Next apply pearl strands using Scor-tape around edge of painted area.  I created the banner by stamping chosen letters from JustRite Curlz Font onto burlap pieces.  The burlap pieces are then attached to a piece of wire using glue lines.  Tiny pearls are placed between each letter.  The banner is then attached to canvas using Scor-tape.

I applied metal corners using foam tape and then applied assembled Bitty Blossom flowers and decorative buttons randomly onto the canvas.  To finish off my project I added wedding bands with cake charm to the bottom of the canvas and adhered the metal word “Cherish” onto the bottom corner of the photo.

I actually did my first video tutorial for my project today.  You can check it out here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXSuUTV06H8

Happiness...

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a bright and sunny card to share.  It is sure to cheer up anyone that I give it to.

To begin, I chose a scallop border stamp from Classic Lace Edges One, stamped onto yellow cardstock using Versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Edges Two.  I think it looks like real lace!  Each layer is matted onto black cardstock giving it lots of dimension.

For the center portion of the card I stamped the Floral Flourishes Background (one of my all time favorite background stamps) the same way by heat embossing it with white embossing powder.  Next I chose a beautiful sentiment from Butterfly Dreams stamped onto yellow cardstock that also was stamped with Floral Flourishes Background then diecut using JustRite Vintage Labels Three.  The butterfly on my card is also included in Butterfly Dreams, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Faber Castell Gelatos and handcut.  Of course I needed to add some rhinestone tails!!

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a great weekend.  My youngest daughter just turned 13 so we will be celebrating on Saturday with family and friends.

Birthday Blessings

Good morning everyone.  Today I have a really sweet birthday card to share.  Having birthday cards on hand are a MUST!!  Birthday's seem to creep up on me so having a stockpile of cards is nice to have.

To get this beautiful effect I cut 3 sizes of white cardstock (3 3/4 x 2 1/2, 4 3/4 x 3 1/2, 5 3/4 x 4 1/2 ).  I used pieces of tape on the backs of these pieces to temporarily adhere them together.  Next I used Elegant Fronds Background stamped Versamagic Wheat and Lace Vintage Labels Three stamped with Memento Bahama Blue.  Once the images were stamped I separated them and added cut pieces of blue and green cardstock between each layer.  Once the layers are put back together it gives the amazing effect that you see here.

The image in the center of the card is also included in Lace Vintage Labels Three, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with copics and diecut using Spellbinders Classic Circles and matted onto Spellbinders Lacey Circles.

The cute Birthday Blessings tag sentiment is also in Lace Vintage Labels Three, stamped with Memento Bamboo Leaves diecut with Spellbinders Double Ended Tags.  The bakers twine is from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks for stopping in for a visit today.  I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Christmas Gifts

Good morning everyone.  Today is the last day of the JustRite July Christmas release.  I hope you have enjoyed this weeks projects and have been inspired to start working on your Christmas cards.

Today's stamp releases are Christmas Gifts Vintage Labels Two and Christmas Labels Twenty.

All of the elements in my card are from the Christmas Gifts Vintage Labels Two.   The cute Christmas stockings are colored with Copics and handcut.  Then I "hung" them on my card.  To get the top panel I diecut green cardstock using  Spellbinders Grand Labels 11, stamped the sentiment from Christmas Vintage Labels Two and diecut with JustRite Vintage Labels 4.

Here are the other JustRite designers also showing some great projects today.  Be sure to check them out.

Ho, Ho, Ho

Good morning.  Welcome to Day 5 of the JustRite July Christmas release.  Today's releases are Christmas Cardinal Background and Christmas Labels Twenty Two.  For my card I chose to use Christmas Labels Twenty Two.

To begin, I stamped Cozy Plaid Background onto white cardstock to create my card base.  Next I used my sewing machine to stitch all 3 layers together.

The Santa focal point on my card is included in Christmas Labels Twenty Two, colored with Copics and diecut with Spellbinders Labels 22. I applied this onto a layer that I handcut to look like a little banner.  Along the bottom edge of the banner I stamped Ho Ho Ho (which is also included in Christmas Labels Twenty Two).  To finish off my card I applied some black pearls to the card corners.

"Santa" Zoe

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day 4 of JustRite July Christmas release.  Today's release is called "Christmas Vintage Labels Four".

I purchased this frame at Michael's but didn't know what I was going to use it for.  It was just a plain wooden frame but I figured I would find a good use for it - after all it was only $1.  So when I had to come up with a project using Christmas Vintage Labels Four I knew the frame would be perfect.  Next I had to find a Christmas photo to put into the frame.  That's when I found this one of my cute little puppy Zoe taken on her 1st Christmas.  Doesn't she look happy to be wearing her santa suit??

To begin I covered the frame with decorative paper and covered the edges with strips of green snowflake paper.  The paper is glittery but it doesn't really show that well here.  It is really pretty and festive.  Next I chose the Christmas ornament from Christmas Vintage Labels Four.  To get the multi-colored appearance, I stamped the image with Versamark and randomly added green and red embossing powder then heat embossed it.  I really like how it turned out - really looks like a real Christmas Ornament.  I stamped the sentiment separately and diecut with Spellbinders Classic Circles and applied to the center of the ornament.  To finish off the ornament all I needed to do was add a big red bow!!

The sentiment in the upper right corner is also included in Christmas Inner Thoughts and diecut using JustRite Vintage Label and Banner dies.  The pretty poinsettia flowers are from Petaloo.

Family

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day 3 of the JustRite July Christmas release.  Today there are 2 sets to view - Vintage Christmas Ornaments and Christmas Inner Thoughts.

I decided to go back to my roots today and create a scrapbook page.  This photo is my husband's family at Christmas in 2012.  I am really a scrapbooker at heart but have made the transition to cardmaking.

I used the Vintage Christmas Ornaments set, embossed with silver embossing powder to create the hanging ornaments.  The sentiments inside the ornaments are included in Heritage Christmas Ornaments set.   The word "Family" is from the Graceful Monogram set also heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  The year "2012" was stamped using Market Place Alphabet.

Joyeux Noel

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day 2 of the JustRite July Christmas release.  Today's set is called Heritage Christmas Ornaments.

I decided to create a center step card so that I could showcase the 3-D ornament that I made using the ornament stamp included in Heritage Christmas Ornaments.  I stamped the image 5 times, diecut using Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornaments, colored with copics, scored each one in the center and then adhered them together.

To make the poinsettia's I used Festive Poinsettia set released yesterday and diecut using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettias.

I also have some amazing news to share with you - Have you ever played along with the JustRite Friday challenges?  Well it has hit its 100th challenge which means shopping spree!!  Check out the information below:

Christmas Tags

Good morning everyone.  Welcome to Day one of JustRite July Releases.  Who's ready for Christmas??  NOT ME!!!  The weather here in Maine has finally started to feel like Summer so I don't even want to consider Winter and Snow but this week I will pretend that it's Christmas simply because the July release stamps are so stinkin nice!!!

There are 2 sets being showcased today - Festive Poinsettia and Grand Christmas Sentiments.  I used both sets to create my cute Christmas tags.  The actual tag was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge.
Each sentiment is stamped and diecut using Spellbinders Labels Four and matted onto Gold Labels Four.
The poinsettia is stamped using Festive Poinsettia and diecut using Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia.

Here is a look at all 3 of my tags together
